if you get the new slim PS2 it will use less power to run than the fat PS2. even if you had the older slim PS2 but you would need 8.5 volts DC and whatever amps it needs. the slim PS2 uses 35W wheres the PS2 you have there uses 79W. you will get longer play time using the slim PS2 and it will take up less space.

depending on how good the baterry is, you will kindof have to charge it a lot. i would recomend using a switch because with that much power, the battery could die in less than a half hour. my amp was only like 300 watts and i had a deep cycle marine battery
