I kinda like that they weren't getting married at that last scene because during that time period all that was expected of a woman was that she would get married. Instead Kaylee became a knight and we can assume that they got married after. which seems like a good ending to me :)

I kinda like that he didn't get his eye sight back, its not a typical thing for these kind of stories, but in a way I think it made it all more beautiful in the end. You can be accepted and happy for who you are and there can still be a happy ending even if things are not prefect perfect ^^

the only reason i can think of as to why garrett's sight wasn't fixed (other than the 'you can overcome any obstacle' moral) is that the sword fixed only magical injuries. the weapon men=magic, devon and cornwall=magical creatures, king arthur's injuries=caused by a magical creature. garrett lost his vision to a normal accident, no magic or magical creatures involved.

@e7242 Long answer, lol - PART 1: I`m making assumptions too, because I don`t think the filmmakers overlooked it. I would think it`s deliberately done because Garrett is a character whose conflict and change has directly to do with him being blind. But since he has finished his change at the end of the movie, and accepted himself enough to go back to being amongst people, I don`t think it would`ve made that much of a difference for his character if he got his eyesight back or not. -

@e7242 PART 2: But I also think they didn`t give him his sight back to make a point about of the fact that Arthur accepts Kaylee and Garrett, both as knights of the Round Table, although they`re both unlikely candidates. (being blind and being a woman) Which confirms another message of the movie: no matter what obstacles you face, if you persevere you will reach your goals. I think if he was healed the fact that he became a knight would be less spectacular. -

@e7242 PART 3: However, I still think that the logic of the movie demanded an explanation for this, because if the healing power that the sword releases could even separate Devon and Cornwall, it would be really logical if Garrett got his eyesight back too. So while I think story wise it has it`s purpose, it still feels a bit like a cheat because it`s not logical that everything is fixed except Garrett`s eyes.

I'll be honest. I loved this movie when I was a kid. REALLY LOVED IT. but I am very underwhelmed as an adult. Unlike a lot of disney movies, I don't really notice anything more now than I did then. Sure I get some of the jokes better, but it's not like it makes a difference. The relationships are just as shallow, and plot just as straightforward. Difference is I don't look up to Kaylie anymore, the lines are cornier, and some things just plain don't make sense.

You guys keep forgetting that this is a fictional, animated cartoon. Sure, somethings don't quite make sense but obviously if that were the case: Lion King wouldn't have talking animals, Pocahontas would not have had a talking tree for a confidant, Cars 1 and 2 would have been impossible since they don't have hands to build anything. This is a great movie. It's well animated, had a strong storyline, memorable songs, and a good sense of humor for a children's film.

Okay, this film simply leaves all too many things unexplained, there are too many pointless (and misplaced) songs, the whole plot is a total mess of rip-offs and an uninteresting deviation from the actual Arthur legend and the villain is too obvious from the start (a bit like the villain from The "disgustingly insulting" Legend of the Titanic by Orlando Corradi).

But to be fair, it has very good animation and some of the songs are pretty good.
