The Z06's 5th gear ratio is 0.80:1, which is good for pulling at high speeds, the Mustang GT's 5th ratio is 0.67:1, an overdrive that's useless performance wise, the GT will top out at about 140m/h at 6000rpms in 4th, assuming ofcourse it has the stock 3.27 rear end, it is why Mustang racers always let off at high speeds, they are out of gears!! Some people btw change their 5th gear ratio to 0.83:1, imagine what a 500hp Mustang could do with that kind of gearing!!!
