@kempmartin good question if you look at your own body you can see that you have 2 legs to walk with without any difficulty, 2 eyes to see with better than any man made camera, from observing your own body you can conclude that you are product of design, made for the environment, without a Mighty Being creating you and your environment you and the universe would not exist!
Those who ask to see God directly seek to think of or know His Being directly. Just as we cannot see Him, we cannot think of or know His Being, for He is beyond all form, quality, quantity, and human conception or reasoning.
In the words of Muslim theologians: "Whatever conception of God we form in our minds, He is other than it."
@tdwpwithrootsabove Why doesn't he present himself so that us non-believers will stop questioning his existence? Why does he use an outdated book as evidence of his existence?
@madmiguelh2o Good question, we are not ready to see God? “Vision cannot grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision.” (Quran 6:103) for God is too great to be grasped by human eyes in this life. In Islamic doctrine, God cannot be seen in this life, but the believers will see God in the next life. “The Day Of Resurrection is the first day any eye will look at God, the Mighty and Exalted.”
After the Prophet's ascent to the heavens, his Companions asked him if he had seen God. Abu Dharr (a Companion of the Prophet) reported that, on one occasion, he answered: "What I saw was the Light. How could I see Him?" (Muslim)
On another occasion he answered: "I saw a Light." (Muslim) These statements clarify the well-known saying: "The light is the limit or veil of God." (Muslim)
If you take a high school chemistry class they will explain that absolutely everything is made of protons, neutrons and electrons. Add more protons and you get a different element. Add two elements and you get a compound. These bonds are due to electricity trying to distribute evenly and happen naturally. Everything was created from these bonds, which are easily testable and observable, without any magic whatsoever.
God is absolutely other than His creation, for the Creator cannot have the same kind of being as His creation. Although this is self-evident, some people still ask why we cannot see God directly.
Direct vision is very limited. Consider the following: A tooth contains innumerable bacteria. No bacteria is aware of the tooth in which it lives, for that would mean that it has removed itself from the tooth and used some artificial means (e.g., telescopes and microscopes) to obtain an approximate idea of the tooth's surroundings and its relationship to the human body. Even if this were possible, such awareness would not mean understanding.
So would the bacteria be right if they thought that humans were gods? Or is there probably nothing magical about where they live and how they came to be? I'm not really sure what the hell this has to do with anything.
Consider the following analogy. Imagine that you are in a closed room. When someone knocks on the door, you might be able to form some vague impressions about who is knocking.
However, you can only guess at his or her attributes. All that you know for certain is that someone is knocking. You can open the door and ask the person knocking to make himself or herself known to you. In this way, you can acquire more accurate knowledge of his or her true attributes.
Funny how many of the wealthiest countries in the wolrd have the highest population of atheism (Denmark, Japan, etc.) while the impoverished, warring countries have the least atheism. Your god sure has a funny way of rewarding the faithful.
My answer to your question by the way is d. none of the above
Who created Allah? If my car won't start and I don't know why it must be god?
You talk about using your brain and yet most scientists don't belive in God.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that some people would ask this very question: "A day will certainly come when some people will sit with their legs crossed and ask: 'If God created everything, who created God?'" (Al-Bukhari)
The Creator must be Self-Subsistent and One, without like or equal. If any created being "causes" anything, that capacity "to cause" was created within that being, for only the Creator is Self-Existent and Self-Subsistent.
i choose option D: i am the result of my father and mother having sexual intercourse, a sperm and an egg cell merged and began replicating into a blastocyst which since grew into a fetus which became me.. small gradual changes all the way, no magic, no *POOF*, just biology...
When something is right in front of our eyes it is difficult to deny it, right? "Can you prove you exist?" Yes, of course you can. You merely use your senses to determine what you can see, hear, feel, smell, taste and you have emotions as well. All of this is a part of your existence. But this is not how we perceive God in Islam. We can look to the things He has created and the way He cares for things and sustains us, to know there is no doubt of His existence.
Despite its apparent simplicity, the Quran has such depths of meaning that everyone from the commonest of people to the most high-ranking scholar, scientist and literary man, finds his share in it
The Quran unveils the mystery of man, creation and the universe
So do other holy books, but none of that changes the fact that the question in the video is flawed and designed to fail. If you had truth on your side, you wouldn't have to do that. Facts and stuff.....
There is no compulsion in the way of "Islam." Whoever chooses to worship Allah without partners and is devoted to Him and is obeying His commands as much as possible has grasped the firm handhold that will never break. Whoever denies God and chooses some other way to worship or not to believe at all, for them there is an eternal punishment that is most horrible (Hell).
All holy books were from God as stated in the Qur'an and the Qur'an is the last revelation confirming the truth of previous revelation.
The fact and stuffis that the Prophet told the stories and incidents not known to the people of the time and the Qur'an uses the language which was relevant for the people of the time to explain natural phenomena and also explains the many latest scientific advancement in understanding the universe
In another verse, Allah challenges others to create a fly if they could do it. Men may be could make robots from things that created by Allah. Yet, none could make a fly from nothing nor thing that could reproduce except Allah:
Lo! Those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from him. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought! [Quran 22:73]
As long as we(man), and our scientific advancement are not continuously stagnated by religious dogma, and a belief in a (by definition) imaginary god. Then given enough time: yes. ;O)
You will not be able to create a fly from nothingness not even in 1 thousand years time even if you bring alien technology.
The Quran, has challenged all mankind with all their literary geniuses and scientists, from the first day of its revelation to the Last Day, to produce a like of it or even a single chapter of it
Allah has created and given you something better then a computer that is your brain use your intelligence that you and very thing else has been designed and created by a being the Ever Living, evolver , the Sustainer and Protector of all that exists
Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (There is no god to worship except Him), the Ever Living, the Sustainer and Protector of all that exists. He doesn't get tired and He doesn't sleep... Quran
Well, Allah made me with a perfectly functioning logical brain. I only believe in things that that I have evidence for. You are free to treat evidence as undesirable. If we both get cancer you can pray to Allah for a cure, I'll be at the doctor's office.
As Allah's prophet (A.S) said that Allah has created a cure for every disease if you look at history Muslims were leaders towards medicine and science while the rest of the world was living in dark ages. Please watch my video called - Islam spread by the Sword? wallidjan
I'm sure Muslims cured many diseases. Anyone can make advances in technology as long as they use the scientific method. I'm just consistent with my logic and say the empirical evidence is always preferable over none.
isn't it amazing......after so much advancement we have yet to create things as perfect as living things.....yet we believe that the whole universe came about on it's own......
To those people who deny the existence of God, Allah questions them about His creatures. Who is the creator of sperm and plant? People or God the All Wise Creator?
Have ye seen that which ye emit?
Do ye create it or are We the creator? [Quran 56:58-59]
Have ye seen that which ye cultivate?
Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? [Quran 56:63-64]
Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower? [Quran 56:72]
Just because we can't create a fly, it isn't evidence for God. Genes are self replicating, with many chance mutations, given survival pressures these genes evolve. Fractal geometry and chaos theory show that very complex things can come out of very simple basics.

Men and women of wisdom have said that God exists but cannot be comprehended by human reason or perceived by human senses. The only way to acquire knowledge of Him is through the Prophets, whom He appointed as bearers of His Revelation. Given this, we must accept the guidance of Revelation if we want to know about Him.
There is no god but God-the Necessarily Existent One, the One, the Single-the necessity of Whose existence in His Oneness the Quran of miraculous exposition decisively proves, which is accepted and sought for by the species of angels, human beings and jinn; all of whose verses are recited in every minute with perfect respect by the tongues of millions of human beings; whose sacred rule in the regions of the earth and the realms of space and on the faces of ages and time;
whose enlightened spiritual dominion has prevailed with perfect splendor over half of the globe and a fifth of humankind for fourteen centuries... Likewise, with the consensus of its heavenly and sacred suras, and the agreement of its luminous Divine verses, and the correspondence of its mysteries and lights, and the concord of its truths, and results, it manifestly attests, and is a clear proof of, this same truth.
Why did God make me an Atheist? He made me and now he's going to punish me for being the way I was made... What a load of..

My belief would be evolution.
But okay, so you believe that we couldn't have just came from nowhere, correct?
So where did God come from?
A little bit hypocritical to say that the universe could not have come from nothing, but God can, don't you think?
