  • first person video... :P

  • I killed a six pack in Reno just to watch it die once.Shooting on your own private property is one of the more fun thngs to do.

  • If you by a .357, use .38 special target rounds (115 grain) first, then start using .357 target ammo. Don't shoot full house .357's right off the bat, or you will end up not liking the gun. In which case you can send it to me and I will pay the shipping. :D

  • 0:13 nice shot!

  • @Pentagon1311 Thanks man

  • You're so lucky you have access to a place like this. There are no great uninhabited areas here in Georgia.

  • @Supermassively GA has good laws though. Maybe not as good as out here in NV, AZ or UT, but damn good compared to most of the country. All you gotta do is make a friend who owns some land, or buy your own land. I grew up in NY which is the most oppressive state in the nation, but we still found places to bump fire AKs and all that fun shit.

  • @jammelthecat Not as oppressive as Washington D.C. (not a state, but still... it has its own gun laws, and they are the most dictatorial in the country). I've been wanting to find a friend who has some big land to shoot on, but I just can't find anyone. I've always lived in suburbia, so there's no good land around here.

  • The planet has been glassed by the covenant; only a few humans survive in this post-apocalyptic dystopia. Here, a brave man invests a few precious rounds in target practice before he sets off in an evening mission against humankind's oppressors.

  • @lance22me hahahaha

  • Looks like Area 51.

  • @meowma No, but I do know people who have worked at Area 51 for the Air Force or contractors. It's not as cool as in the movies lol

  • woo i was just there this summer

  • Is that an XS Big Dot or Standard Dot on your SP101?

  • what area is this??

  • @ranglo211 Just outside of Las Vegas.

  • haha the echo is almost as cool as firing the pistol

  • @bsrman36 Totally. I love shooting where no other people are. Ranges are for tourists! :)

  • how is the trigger on this revolver ?? is it terrible or is it just stiff ?

  • @RoyalAlba1 It's great in single action. Very long in double action, but that's like any revolver.

  • @jammelthecat compared too lets say a S&W 686 is it almost the same ??

    (i really like to sp101 but i want a reasonable trigger )

  • @RoyalAlba1 I have the sp101 in DAO. The trigger is a long pull as well as feels gritty out of the box. After many dry fires, and polishing many of the trigger mechanisims, the pull is just as long, but smooth as glass. There are aftermarket springs that can be put in to help with the stiffness, but I did not care to mess with that. I have read about the lighter springs not always striking the primer hard enough and causing a misfire. The Ruger is a great gun with a bit of refinement. I love it

  • you gotta be using .38's, aint no way .357's have that little recoil. unless you hand loaded them?

  • @robertson109 Yes, it is .38 +P

  • Might seem like a weird question, but what camera did you use to film this?

  • @ALoveEternal Canon EOS Rebel T1i. They run $799 at Best Buy. 15 megapixel digital SLR that also has a 1080p video mode at 20fps. You can get 30fps if you do 720p.

  • @jammelthecat

    that was quick lol. thx

  • Great shot!

I went out with mine just like that and couldn't hit s#!t and I was closer than that to my target. Now I am wondering if the sighting on mine could be out of adjustment??? Anybody know if the sighting on the SP101 can be tweaked???

  • @rhol55 Did you use .38? I'm much more accurate with .38. When I use .357 I get some magnum flinch.

For me it's all about slowly squeezing the trigger and holding the sights on the target, then getting the surprise break.

  • @jammelthecat Sorry for the long delay I don't get to the message part of Youtube too much. I have a .357 and yes I am expecting the kick on every shot so maybe I do pre-trigger pull, flinch. Guess I may need to concentrate more on not flinching and pulling the trigger slowly. And of course practice which is always fun.

  • That land scape looks familiar. Mojave? Bishop?

  • @david85251 Yes the Mojave desert near Vegas. I'm not familiar with Bishop. Not sure what that is, unless you're talking about the android from Aliens.

  • Good shot, I'll make sure to skip ur house when I'm on ur block robbing people...just kidding!

  • @Adam986 lol

  • Nice shootin Tex!

  • Nice revolver. I have one of the 3" barreled .357 Magnums that is what I carry concealed, Nice firearm.

  • i just ordered mine on 2-1-2010 hope to have it in by 2-10-2010.

  • @DEDMNKY

Congrats man. It's a great CC gun.

  • just picked it up yesterday can't wait to shoot it.

  • Nice. Well at least you can dry fire it until then!

  • true thanks

  • so what do you think of the gun so far? I plan on buying one myself

  • It's great. No complaints. I added it to my concealed carry permit, and it's very comfortable to carry because of the small size and rubber grip. Reloading a revolver takes a lot of practice, but at least they never jam.

  • Added it to your permit? Do you mean you can only carry guns that are listed on it? Or am I an idiot, and you just meant you added it to the group of guns that you carry regularly?

  • Yeah NV has a stupid gun law where you need to shoot a simple proficiency test with each gun that you plan to carry. The back of my CWP has a list of all my handguns that I'm allowed to carry. It takes a month or so to get your new permit and start carrying a new gun. I have my Desert Eagle .50 on the permit just for S&G.

  • lol, have you ever attempted to carry the Desert Eagle for S&G?

  • Yeah I CC it sometimes. My friends always get a kick out of it. What I always say is, "Hey would you rather be shot by this or what you're carrying?" :)

I'm pretty convinced that one shot from this or a S&W 500 is almost certainly going to stop any threat.

  • I own the same revolver, but my front sight is different. Is that an aftermarket one? If so, how much is it?

  • Yes, it's an aftermarket night sight that glows in the dark. The guy I bought it off of said it was $100 installed. I believe it was made by Trijicon.

  • For the record I did NOT pay him an extra $100 for the sight.

  • OK, thank you. Nice gun though!

  • Yes it was .38 +p Winchester white box from

Walmart. I have since picked up a whole bunch of PMC .357 and have been shooting that.

  • do you live on the moon or something? wtf?!

  • lol It's the desert.

  • is that like the black rock desert?

  • @LavaMountainKat

Spring Mountains actually. Between Vegas and Pahrump, Nevada.

  • wow - this was so exciting!!!!!

  • Yeah yeah, it's better than the political stuff you always post :)

  • you know you were shoting 38 !
