Despite all those antiques, un-qualified, unacceptable, bad, on-court behaviour, I cannot make my myself hate John McEnroe. I hate Any Roddick and Serena for their bad behaviour and even at times consider them a disgrace for tennis, but I do not know why I don't hate john. Maybe, he walked the talk and actually helped himself to win points by expressing his rage, unlike Andy and Serena. They lose their way when they lose their manners...
@irtezaa What I always loved about Mac, is the fact that he might be the only tennis star that never cared whether the people liked him or not... and of course he was a genious.
lol, if you just saw mac hitting youd say no way was he a pro... great serve but his strokes look soooo awkward and unco but he times the ball so well
@dura1mater im a lefty as wel and i do it because i like it to push someone into the forehand corner and then strike when he's out of position. Sometimes when i play against a good forehand i change my tactics ;-)
how did u got this?? no annoying commentators, just pure tennis, LOVE THAT!
i have this on tape but i kinda hate it - mac was over 30 already & played like it, but he had 1 half-way decent year left in him in '92, the next year when he retired
this was when the dunlop maxply was painted over and he used an overgrip (at least that's what it looks like to me) - and when replays actually showed the ball and the player hitting a winner
i still wanna c their 1st meeting b4 the '90 US Open

McEnroe hits to players forehands a lot. Kind of interesting. He doesn't pick on players backhands. I wonder if he realizes this.

@1978utreg Nice! Maybe Mac does it because his backhand is better than his forehand?

@dura1mater
you don't really think that a player like Mac doesn't know where he hits his shots right? xD

1991 Philadelphia semifinal. It was also Mac's birthday that day.
