  • We studied this in my Music History class - and actually it was inspired by Charles Ives experiencing, while being outside, two marching bands pass by one another. This was his attempt to recreate the same sounds - the buzzing imitates the crowd gathering, and the sounds of nature, those sounds around him. • Very very good indeed. Great version.

  • This is an amazing recording. Thank you! Take number !. Impressive.

  • Ives is Leibnitz to Stravinsky's Newton.

  • @nobodady1

Wrapped in Feynman to his Dirac... It's nice to see Glasperlenspielers around.

  • GOLLY! ;)

  • This performance is brilliant! Where can I get the recording?

  • Thanks for all your positive comments on the Orch New England Ives recordings. We really appreciate it!!!! and fyi - the recording of Country Band March (Putnam's Camp) was done with only 3 complete takes and no edits. The take on the recording is take #1. No joke.
