  • nice truck. i own 2 s10' both have v8s. one with wynjammer. charger ..305 is crap and the guy who thinks its in your truck obviously is a ford fan. 4.3 is best engine gm ever produced IMO. i like 5.7, better mileage and power in s10.

  • I had a 305 that cracked both heads when it overheated. Not GMs best work

  • not bad but it needs tuned badlyand need better flowing exauste.get those dun and go to a full msd ignition (distributor coil ignitor and 6al box) and you will have a little screamer. i miss mi 99 s-10 have fun with yours.

  • @kawiracer154 most cars can run yup to 9psi on stock internals. after you get over that you start having to do motor work.

  • @wtl1964..the 305 was a 350 modified for "better mpg" it was a failed attempt that even most cheverolet fans believe are their worst motor ecer designed.

  • @mikesirocz355 how did you trap a 106mph? unless youve fucked with your computer, your truck still shuts off at 100 just like all four of the s10's ive had. and I really don't believe 13.29. believe me, im a big chevy fan, im just havin a hard time agreeing with that time. maybe a 14. My stepside that weighs probably a good 400 pounds less than your extended cab not even counting the weight of your speakers, only ran a 15,9 with intake exhaust headers and throttle body spacer.

MY BUDDIES S10 WITH 3 INCH EXHAUST AN A TUNE OFF THIS CHIP WITH A 2.1 60 FT RAN A 14.78 IN A 1/4 MILE. AINT MY FAULT U CANT DRIVE. NOT MY PROBLEM GO TO DRIVING SCHOOL OR COME TAKE SOME NOTES.. WHEN MY S10 WAS STOCK ALL I DID WAS PUT A 410 POSSI IN IT AN RAN A 15.1 AT 93 MPH....

    Your time seems about right; S10s aren't the quickest things. I'm going to assume he got his truck tuned, and the limiter removed. I wouldn't doubt his time, though.

  • @fortino555 yea its only on 4 lbs....an also a 200 lb passenger an one hell of a sound system in there... there ruffly about 6 to 800 lbs just in audio with all the batterys ... an from a dead stop i cant smash it all it does is spin...i ran it at quaker city drag strip ... my 60 fts were horrable 2.1 but still traped a 13.29 at 106.... now i got an 11 lb pulley a new rearend an the jet tuner.. hoppin to do low 12s... subscribe an watch the new videos commin soon. thanks for watchin..

  • Depending on what cam you get you will need a tune, they need to adjust fuel curve for tip in and some other things, my 2000 Bravada has a comp cam 270ahr and wynjammer 36lb injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, and some other mods, soon to add 100 shot of NOS. Waitformeperformance did the tune for $75 and it made a world of difference.

  • @Hawkster0001 Not really. If I add a supercharger then -.- Shit might as well pay off the car and buy a Mustang boss or a 370. I sometimes get torque steer but thats when the traction control is off and its really not all that bad. Unlike the last gen altimas with v6s

  • @tbirdsport302 no it dont take a special tune. but if ur gonna do a cam id have the block ported polished shaved an honed go all the way if u got the money..... i love stompin v8s n the lil s10 people get pissed....

  • I have HID's on the low beams its the high beams in question. However, I found that if you pull the DRL relay under the hood you loose the DRL's but keep the auto headlights I have not tried HID's on the highs I'll let you all know how it goes.

  • you run about 6.8 seconds thats what my 2001 for mustang ran with the 3.8 5 speed and it was non turbo

  • @brentcjohnson with 230k ide get a new engine before even saying anything about supercharging prochargers are good and there is a kit for 4.3s online that goes for about 2200$ that works great

    superchargers mean far more stress on the engine.

    better pistons better valves if you want to go nuts, cams. not just another engine

    i myself have a CPI 1994 4.3

    im getting it rebuilt with the best performance parts to factory specs with a little bit more power in roller rockers and positive valve seals.

    the wynjammer only gives 6lb of boost but thats enough for pulling trailers like i do.

    ide rebuild the trans and rear end to take the pwr.

  • do some research... might have to make a custom bracket... but im sure this kit damn near will bolt right up... they aint cheap tho... around the 5 grand mark... but its worth it to smoke 5.0s all day ... i fuckin love it... an its just begun

  • hit the dome over ride button four times it will turn off the auto head lights as well as the DRL's. unfortunitly they will turn back on next time you turn on the truck so you have to do that trick ever time i havn't found a way to keep the auto headlights but loose the drs. by the way what supercharger are you running i'm looking at blowing my 01 jimmy?

  • @Aquafbody Or if you dont want your DRL's, push the e-brake down about 1-2 clicks and they wont come on EVER unless you turn them on yourself.

  • @SuperBrandango it has angle eyes... the parkin break is cut an its on all the time so the day time driving lights dont turn on....

  • @mikesirocz355 you know thats why that knob is on the truck on the left hand side. I think that truns off the daytime lights because i have mine turned to the left and its never on.

  • @mikesirocz355 You know, if you hit the "dome Override" button 4 times, it will turn off the daytime running lights...

  • @mikesirocz355 Hey if you look up under the dash there is a diode you can unplug its a little metal peice with fins on it. Itll turn off the running lights. That or you can pull the relay inside the glove box. This is what I did on my 96 S10 was just pull the relay.

  • @mikesirocz355 all you had to do to get the driving lights not to turn on during the day is push the button 4 times or until it dings and they go off.

  • @mikesirocz355 Did you know that you can hit the Dome Override button 4 times to turn them off? Its below your headlight switch. I do it all the time to hide from cops in my s10 turbo.

  • it was a good run but alot of wheel hop in first an the rmps seemed to lag in second intill about 60 what kind of superchager u have. cuz i have a 99 step side an was looking at the wynjammer 6psi kit. now did you have to change your injectors. i have headers custom 2 inch y pipe 3 inch dump an i think all the msd stuff you can get for the 4.3 but when i put pedal to floor it seems to lag like not enough fuel. cuz my truck feels like it kills the power around 4000 rpms.

  • @tryncmpt its a powerdyne supercharger kit... has a 4lb pully on it... are u still runnin the stock fuel set up... i do have a walboro 255 fuel pump an a dual fuel filter set up..which msd do u have... there a few different ones u can run???im doin a 12 lb pulley an i have the jet chip to be installed yet... then to the dyno to see whats kind of numbers i put to the wheels....

  • @tryncmpt my buddy has a semi built 02 s10 and he has told me that the power loss you are talking about is because of shitty stock cam hope that helps...

  • Your going to blow the rear end or snap a axle you have to get rid of that wheel hop at 0:10 mabey some traction bars? Otherwise nice truck.

  • @Suprahajimoto yea headers are safe for the set up... thats all i need to be complete....has custom 4 inch exhaust on it because u cant run true duals without cuttin the crossmember... hopefully goin to akron horsepower here soon to get a good tune with the new pully an jet chip.... see what kinda numbers im puttin the ground!!!!

  • was it worth the money? (hp for $) seems some chargers only add about 80-100hp, seems kinda expensive for that kinda gain. if you had to do it again would you or would you go v8 conversion?

  • definatly intake an exhaust... headers are a major issue... the more u make it breath the more hp u gain.... so i definatly start with headers or exhaust... prolly 3 inch i wouldnt do nuttin smaller... an u will love the sound it gives it....thanks for lookin

  • its a powerdyne supercharger.... it only has a 4 lb pully on it.... i have a 10 lb for it tho... the 4.3 v6 is 9.2.1 compression which can handle 9 to 10 pounds of boost....it has the full msd... has 3 inch catback exhaust with a custom y pipe an duals....i got new belts an new idler pulls.... it spools so much better... wait til u see the new videos.......thanks for lookin
