  • Anyone else think Simon looked like a vintage Ken doll?

  • I'll be honest, Matt makes a suprisingly adorable nazi..

  • I thought by this time after all those 23 escapes he'd be sent to Colditz, but since they have just won the war, wouldn't the camp be liberated?

I also love how at 1:37 it looks like Ben is bringing Mat back into the office!

  • 'making escape virtually impossible... where did he go?!' lol rofl

  • "this key is for the front door. And this key is for the back...

  • Am I the only one incredibly attracted to Higgins?

  • "There are two sings you vill never do. One, you vill never vin the var. Two, you vill never get your hands on my KEYS."

"They have von the var! Ve have surrendered! Every man for himself!!"

    *British guy smiles*

"Riiight, so this key is for the front door..."

    <3

  • I love the way the Germans thought that'd we'd never beat them! Then the Nazis came along, thought the same thing and we STILL beat them!

  • 2:33 Troll face xD

  • "ahh, squadron leader, we meet again..."

"are you not counting the last time?"

    "SHUTUP!!!"

    hahahah, rofl :P

  • that brit is such a brit it's hilarious.

  • I Love the British guys Smug attitude XD

  • I LOVE THEWORLD WAR !

  • great! but the geneva convention (was supposed to) stopped the killing of all soldiers, not just officers.

  • Yea.. because Nazis were well known for following rules of war.

  • somehow Simon is still funny even though he's playing the evil POW camp commander guy with a weird German accent

  • these are hlarious hahaha

  • Bob Hale?

  • WW 1 OR 2????

  • @theGummaster 1. He's squadron leader higgins. That means he's a pilot, and they were mainly used in ww2. also, pilots in ww2 were the most commonly captured troop, whereas in ww1, the pilot would usually die from the crash (no parachute)

  • Is that one decoration really a Pretzel in 0:25 on the "Kommandant"s uniform??

  • why is the soldiers suspender only half on

  • @jorcastify

well, u can hardly expect them to stay neat, wen they r trapped in a war prison. also it adds to the effect, brave and hard war hero ;)

  • @jorcastify

It's not a suspender. It's a holster for his pistol. He only has one.

  • I love the little rat that pops in with the "TRUE" signs XD

  • By the way I absolutly love this sketch! :D

  • I feel a bit upset watching this now :'( Because Higgins has died on the HH role play on twitter D:

  • He knows nothink! Nothink!

  • 0:38 He escapes!

  • thats the same room that they used for the 'its not true' song ;) x

  • ahh he's the perfect war hero, witty, sly and hansdome

  • english: so we meet again

german: YOU dont say that I say tht

    lol

  • This show and cast are genius!

  • Brits: 2. Germans: 0

  • One of my faves 

  • 2 things in this world that will never happen

    1. you will never win this war

    2. you'll never get your hands on my keys

Soldier: they have won ze war we have zurrendered, every man for himself!

  • so, we meet again

DON'T SAY THAT, I SAY THAT!!

  • This was the very first HH sketch i ever saw.

  • love the way the soldiers runs out of the room XD

  • "Squandron Leader Higgins Sir Kommandant!"

    LOL love that scene xD

  • he is countering what he is saying

  • He says "there are two things that will NEVER happen"

    1. you will NEVER win this war

    2. you will NEVER get these keys

so technically he WILL win this war and he WILL get those keys

  • this might be a stereotype but I was under the impression that germans counted "1, 2" with their thumb and index finger instead of their index and third fingers....

  • Oh my God this is GENIUS!!!!

  • @nomnomnomnivore Simon Farnaby is the guy sitting down, and Mathew Baynton is the one next to the English guy, and the guy who rums in near the end is Jim Howick.

  • @nomnomnomnivore Simon Farnaby :)

  • I love the british man's smile when they lose the war

  • Where is Kommandant Klink? ;D

  • @ryanlim2002

He´s (Oberst Klink) currently my boss and thus very occupied. ;-)))

  • @Fritztoons LOL!!!

  • "So we meet again."

"DON'T SAY ZAT I SAY ZAT! Give me one good reason not to shoot you on the spot!"

"Because Geneva convention says you can't shoot officers."

    "Yes, I forgot about zat..."

    Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahhahaha so funny!!!!!

  • @twiluver12 Reminds me so much of the Mitchell and Webb RAF sketch where they're caught by ze Germans xD

  • @demonella Actually, that's Armstrong and Miller. Mitchell and Webb did a sketch where they are Germans.

  • @demonella "You can't do that, this isn't nazi germany"

    "...yes it is."

"he's right blud, nazi germany's like, exactly where we are"

that armstrong and miller one, yes?

  • Lawl, fail.

  • Give me one good reason why i shouldn't just shoot u now, well old chap because of the geneva convention you cant shoot an officer oh yes i forgot about that

  • Squandron Leader Higgins reminds me of Westley from the Princess Bride!

  • If this is the day the Germans surrendered in Berlin, then that means it is the same day as my birthday!!!!!!

  • ahhhhh squadran leader we meet again

    arent we counting just now

    SHUT UP

    lmao

  • AHHH funny horrible histories this was one of my favourite bits!!!! we need a new serirs

  • i ve been lovin this!!!! :0)

  • When he made the two with his fingers, it was the V for Victory sign XD

  • Is that Julian Assange?

  • So We meet again

Don't say that i say that! lol 1:40

  • Because of the Geneva Convention, you can't kill officers!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that...

    *Smug*

  • I had way more fun at school reading horrible history books than I did listening to some crumbly old man who was the concept designer and head engineer of Stone Henge drone on like a broken air conditioning unit teaching me history. It's what made me enjoy it and want to teach myself about History.

Horrible Histories did more for me than 4 hours a week of history at school ever did.

In fact, if I had never read horrible histories, I think I may have not bothered.

  • This is hilarious!

  • let me guess: it's the most suckish Adolf hitler act ever invented! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my god that's funny!!

  • If only school history lessons were like this, more people would enjoy it.

  • "You give me one good reason why I shouldn't just shoot you right on the spot." "Because the Geneva Conference says you can't shoot officers." xDDD

Can't shoot medical corps either...or the wounded...or anybody else during 'time outs.' The Geneva Conference pretty much makes the notion of war seem ridiculous.

  • This has to be my favorite clip XD

"Where did he go! He did it again! send 100 men to find .... cancel that"

XD If i was a POW I'd try so hard to be like that :P

  • lol parody of inglorius basterds on a kids show is a win

  • "You wont escape!"

    -5 seconds later-

"WHERE THE HELL DID HE GO!?"

  • Problem, Herr Commandant?

  • i think its odvious this is probably coldits lol

  • BECAUSE THE GENEVA CONVETION MEANS YOU CANT SHOOT OFFICERS

    yea forgot about that... lol

nothing beats this but king charles II: king of bling

  • i love the bit where he keeps escaping

  • We are putting gards here, here , here! where did he go?

I have eyes in the back of my head! where did he go?

  • It because of pesky Brits like him that distracted those Lemon soldier from fighting.

'right this one is for the front door and now this is for the back gate, it a bit sticky so you have to...', now that pesky Brit is gonna own your house.

  • @BROLYCURLYable go fuck your self you mother fuck bastard

  • @BROLYCURLYable

Your not suggesting all British people are pesky?

    Because I am british.

  • Wait... So is this a theatrical admission that the Germans really did follow the Geneva convention?

  • @SultanMehmed The Germans ignored the Geneva convention when they invaded Russia, but listened to it in the war against Britain, maybe afraid of angering the British too much.

  • Soviet Russia never participated in the Geneva Convention. Therefore the Germans could treat Russian POWs like shit and get away with it whereas they had to be somewhat nice to the other Allied POWs.

  • @machado231097 Yum yum!!

  • they should of had it so he stole the keys aswell. XD

  • @machado231097 I'm a pacifist (if that's how you write it) or a passion fruit, anyway. I don't do violence XD

  • @machado231097 Sounds good to me (except that Nazi killing part ) XD

  • sooo we meet again

  • @machado231097 You're right.... It doesn't XD

  • WE'VE SURRENDERED!!!! EVERY MAN FOR HIS SELF!

    ...

Okay this one is for the front door....

LOL I LOVE THIS SHOW AND I AM DUTCH 8D

  • German Commandant: Zer are two zings zat vil nether happen, VON you will never vin thees war und TWO you vil never get your hands on my keys

Little German: Ve have surrendered! Zey Von ze var, every man Zor himself!!!

THE BEST PARTS OF BEING BRITISH:

Two world wars and One world cup :)

  • i like that little rat that appears when he mentions that you can't execute officers

  • LOL!!!! i love the way he turns around and the english bloke dissapires! LOL!!!!

  • I love how Matthew Baynton runs at 1:30 XD

  • Ha, the british guy has a talent for escaping, but at the same time he sucks at it as well XD

  • I LOVE the way he says "Yes, I forgot about zat..." and "Right..." at the end XD

  • angles are bad in deutch sprache

  • Did anyone spot Simon Farnaby in Burke and Hare? xx

  • canzel zat

  • 1:15 "are you done talking" Look

I reconised it (I do it Alot)

  • When they said" they have won the war" they meant the allies( Americans, britsh Canada and others) but just britsh. P.s The Brits would have been slaughtered without canadas help

  • @TheTotalWarKing Well, you have to remember that Britain is a much smaller country and with a much smaller army than Germany at the time, the Germans began rearming for war before the Brits did, and I have to say well done to the British for managing to hold out throughout the war.

  • @UsagiDreams

What the fuck are you talking about British Army smaller then German. You fuckling retard. British was an empire and had occupied India and North Africa. Britian was resource full and India soldiers fought on British side during teh World War II,

It was german army that was small and less resource full when combined with British, U.S.A, Soviet Union.

Hitler was simply a fool to fight those country at once, no wonder they got bitten.

  • @quazarstar12 Okay, firstly if you want to insult me, then at least learn how to spell properly- I may just take you seriously if you do! And secondly, yes, the British army was smaller than the German army! By the end of WW2 it was estimated that around 5.3 million German soldiers were killed in action or missing in action, whilst the British army size totalled over 3.5 million. Incidentally, the British army were ill-equipped and in fact Britain came extremely close to surrendering to Germany.

  • @UsagiDreams

Small army is not a good ascuse. Again I am telling you, British had bigger army considering Indian troops and other colonial troops. They fought along side british. Colonial troops contributed a lot more then Allied forces give credit to.

India was under British empire and it provided more resources for British. My father worked for RAF in Kenya and lot of Indian employed there.

  • Comment removed

  • @quazarstar12 If you were to look at the statistics you would find that indeed the British army was smaller. Now I request again that you spell properly in a debate with me because I cannot take a person seriously when their spelling is not proper.

  • @UsagiDreams are you as worried about grammar as it would be 'correct' not 'proper' . being able to use spell check doesn't make you a smart ass. spelling Nazi

  • @abbielovesoasis I am a spelling Nazi, and proud of it! May I point out that I do not use spell-check either. As for my grammar, I do apologise sincerely to you, but considering that this debate ended a month ago I will make no further reply to you.

  • Haha, we're even teaching kids to take the mick out of the Germans XD

  • I love the smug look of The Britis officer after The German Guard said they (As in Us(The British)) have won the war and The germans have Surrended It was like "Well I believe I can get those keys than"

  • the eyes in the back of his head are blind :)

  • Greetings from Germany

  • @AlSidre Greetings from Britain

  • lol one of the best clips

  • can someone plz explain the main point of this video?

  • @greenq618 Its just an educational TV show made funny so kids will watch it a learn real facts :D

  • @greenq618 education

  • I'm so glad Brits have this sense of humour XD

There's people saying Axis Powers Hetalia makes WW2 a joke, but what it does, just like Horrible Histories, is emphasize the weird facts you don't learn in school. It's series like these that make me enjoy history.

  • @Southenisland I AGREE WITH YOU. SO. MUCH.

  • @Southenisland this and hetalia pair almost perfectly

  • @Southenisland thank you, thank you. Someone agrees with me!! :)

  • The singular term Geneva Convention refers to the agreements of 1949, negotiated in the aftermath of World War II. The first Geneva Convention was established in 1864 BUT only 12 Nations signed it.. Switzerland, Baden, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hesse, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Prussia, Spain, and Wurtemburg. The German State of WW2 technically never signed it and thus were not legally under its restrictions.

  • German officer: Squadron leader , ve meet again

Higgins : oh have we met before

German officer :no i just like ze vay i sound ven i zay zat

  • "He's done it again! Send 100 troops to find squadron leader.... Cancel zat"

"Send 300 soldiers to find squadron lead..."

  • Higgins: So... we meet again!

German Officer: Don't say that! I say that!

    :')

  • Higgins is like Batman. A happy, British Batman.

  • This is why the BBC is better then anyone else. Dutch kid shows these days are still stupid and boring gameshows.

I would PAY to let my kids grow up with this.

  • @Broommaster2000 yea if i had kids at all, wait, i AM a kid

  • @VKStudios123 Scientists stand baffled: KID DOES NOT HAVE KIDS!

  • That is the most ridiculous haircut I have EVER seen!

  • Meh, Histeria(an American(the show is from America not soley about America) history show from the turn of the century) does a much better job of teaching history while being funny.

  • Rule britannia!! lol

  • I like Sqdrn Cmdr Higgins. He pretty well personifies the best things about the mythical 'British Gentleman'; he's not loud or rude or grim. He's an unassuming guy who under the worst and most pressing conditions just keeps on 'oh-dear'-ing and persevering, and makes sure his moustache is in good order, and fights down to ragged tooth and claw because (dash it all, man!) that's simply what one ought to do.

And before I hear 'Rarr, England evil, Rar', I'm a native in Canada. I KNOW. Believe me.

  • Ive' Been Looking Everywhere For The Hitler Youth One:'(

  • Your "!st esape

  • LOL. 'No... I just like the way I sound when I say that.' xDD

  • waaaaaaaaaa i want the hitler youth one!. PLEASE

  • @buffy21033 I have beenn searching for that one '...Ooo there's and there's me again'. Gay-est Hitler impersonation ever.

  • We're still at it! conditioning our children 70 years on to laugh at the Germans! LOL

Mind you, they do make better cars than us.

  • cancel zat. :L

  • This is a kid's channel?

I love it and I'm not a kid...

  • COME BACK

  • Vair did he go?!

  • ah squadron leader, we meet again!

Oh, have we met before? lol!! : P

  • I love the way they are taking the piss out of ww2 on a kids show

  • @alphabetman65 I agree it was much more serios than comedy I don't know how they can just do that

  • lol the english will always outsmart the germans

  • just 2 words,

    SOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!

  • lmao, i love this scene xD the german guy is so funny xD

  • It was so on western front, but on eastern front...well...no geneva whatitwas...u did attempt escape u were shot.

  • Did you know when the British souilder's are sent to german castle Called Coldtiz but they always escape.

  • give me one good reason why i shouldnt shoot you on the spot. 'because the geneva convention means you cant shoot officers' oh yes forgot bout zat

  • for the people who are whini g and bitching about this sketch show,Stop it,yes,I do a gree that WW2 was terrible and all and I am sad that so many people were killed however they are not making fun of the Holocaust and no one has ever done that,we are not that insensitive. Sometimes to keep from crying you have to laugh. Plus i'm sure lots of kids learned alot through this sketch, that would not just from reading a history book

  • @mylittelucy You're right. Some folks need to get a life. It's a comedy show, for Christ's sake. BTW, I know that's Simon Farnaby playing the German. Who plays the squadron leader?

  • @willoughbyandalexis I don't know but I'm sure wiki or imdb has the answer

  • @willoughbyandalexis Ben Willbond =)

  • @Love0me0dearly Thanks. He is quite handsome!

  • @willoughbyandalexis He is indeed =) xxx

  • @Love0me0dearly Yes, with the shorter hair and mustache he looks the best

  • @willoughbyandalexis I know what you mean :)

  • My favorite scene from all of the episodes :D

  • "So, we meet again,"

"Don't say zat! I say zat!"

    LOL this gives me jokes!

  • German Officer: So sqadrand leader, we meet again.

    Englishman: Have we met before?

German Officer: No I just like sayin it.

This is beautiful comedy it really really is! :)

    Englishman: So we meet again.

German Officer: Don't say that! I say that!

  • awesome

  • To the moron saying ww2 is ''no laughing matter'', i have two words for ya.
