this doesn't have anything to do with being a punkrock-child this is a punkrockers-child mom and/or dad ( or mom and mom or dad and dad )just listen a lot to their favorite band Bad Religion and this little boy happens to be able to memorize this song he might even really like it. so it's not that "Punk" and you wouldn't want a five year old to be so, right? It could have been any other song in the world and it would still be cute cool or whatever. who doesn't love singing kids!?
I still don´t understand why we have that need to discover as fast as posible BR or punk music, we must let the kids time to grow up, childhood is not to listen to BR, it's to play with toys! BR is too much complex for a 5 y.o., he may not understand a thing about the lyrics, and that's where BR rules, so, it`s okay if you want to agree with Vygotsky's learning theories, but if you start listening that music at such a young age it will be useless.
My kid is 10 now, but I took him to see Bad Religion when he was 7. He got to meet Greg and sung a bunch of songs for him, and Greg was awesome about it.
This was a great reminder of when my kid was that age. Keep up the good work!
I think you do have a point about indoctrination. I discovered Bad Religion by accident when I was fifteen, and it became something special for me because it felt like my own. On the other hand, there are also some great bands I heard while growing up that I still like (the Pogues, U2).
Letting a little kid listen to Bad Religion is like lettinig a little kid read Calvin and Hobbes: great for the vocabulary, and they don't understand about half of the words used until they're older.
i agree, this kid is probably gonna turn out great, but hopfully he doesn't know what he's singing about. he's got plenty of time in the future to realize how fucked up the world is, he doesn't need to think about that now.
wow,what a kid

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Don´t do this to your children, if you do so, then it will be a sort of BR indoctrination, and that's not fair at all. Let him grow his way.
