Don't know if it still gets played on Psychedelic Sunday on Q107, we used to get a healthy dose of Pagliaro, Steel River, Lighthouse and many playings of The Guess Who's "Friends of Mine". Epic.
Saw these guys @ the old Ontario Place Forum. Free rock and roll, a bunch of 17 + 18 year old kids, singing our asses off!!!.....Sigh, that was 37 years ago....lol
This is great - what a wonderful blast from the past! I grew up in Hamilton & I remember CKOC faithfully playing this song so much during the 70's. I've always loved this song.
I bought this album from a discount bin from "Value Giant" (predecessor to Walmart) back in, oh, around 1973. I literally wore it out. I still have it, but it might ruin the needle if I try yo play it.
103.9FM in Woodstock, Ontario plays this song on a fairly regular basis, in their "Greatest Hits" format. Never knew the artist until I saw the post here.
This was a band who should have been huge after listening to numerous songs of theirs it would have been nice if they had gone to the Uk because the kids over there would have gone crazy for them!
@Karmakanuck It did for alittle bit in that 70-72 corridor there were afew hits in the States. Poppy Family , Stampeders, bells, lighthouse, guess who, edward bear, gordon lightfoot, anne murray, andy kim, and the five man electrical band with their huge hit Signs.
@TOKENHIPPIE54 I was just thinking about my top 5 bands that are not well known from canada. steel river, fludd, lighthouse and chilliwack, now Im stuck at 5, five man electrical band kind of put themselves out of contention with signs. What are your thoughts?
Man, this song floated into my head & I couldn't get it out until I found it here & got to hear it again. Had a quick toke before I did. Thanks amigo.

@Bigstud19 That would be "the Hawk" here in London.
IronWoode 1 year ago
@IronWoode 103.9 hasn't been The Hawk in ages. They changed format from classic rock to greatest hits almost two years ago.

I spoke to John Dudgeon (from Steel River) yesterday. He said that there are no re-rleases/compilations out there.
