There will be mcuh less lifting of the shirt if you lift the screen up off the shirt before flooding. The ink sticking to the shirt is what "pulls" the ink through the screen onto the shirt. So when there is less ink over the image area, there will be less tuggin on the shirt. It can be a litlle trickier to do if your not tall becuase the screen will be lifted for the flood stroke and there will still be some lifting of course, but not as much.
