Im a waterpolo goalie, going into my senior year. Man how i wish i can go to cal, ucla or stanford to play waterpolo. But its kinda hard getting recognized from where im from :/

I was on the Cal team that won this championship and the following year. We hadn't won the national championship since 1992 (if I recall correctly), and this USC team had gone completely undefeated the whole regular season. SC ended with two losses, once to us in the league tournament finals, and this game, both times by one goal. And then we beat them next year in the NCAA finals again.

@mooninites755 well this play is made to be thrown at set and the set is supposed to leg up and tip.. and deflect the ball anywhere.. because the goalies locked on to the ball coming at his chest when the sudden deflection makes it near impossible to block.. the reason i say watch out carlsbad is because carlsbad scored the winning goal in the final 2 seconds of the cif finals game. and we had no play to score with only 2 seconds left..

There is no ties in a National, final event. Both were great teams and this was purely an error by the refs/desk. We will never know the true outcome because of these blatant mistakes. And I use the word blatant because of the near refs actions and reaction.
