That is okay for a show, but to listen to it now on video, the sound is appalling; I have heard Robert play and he is a artist at the TPO.
No orchestra would play it like this unless it was Spike Jones and the City Slickers.
Just my opinion; I have my own 3/44 rank TPO in my home and I have been playing the organ for over 50 years. It is not a matter of what I can or cannot do, but it is what I like to listen to.
@three37 This was taken from a live show, and people enjoyed it, we thought people would enjoy it on here, which they have.
Of course, some people, like yourself, don't like it on here, yet you say it's ok for a show, which is a bit puzzling. If you think it's a mess, it's quite easy to press the stop button.
@three37 As Ive already said, the 200 people present (which is the venues capacity) very much enjoyed it, there were shouts for more amongst the standing ovation.
Timing is dreadful. The belt is slipping !!!!!! No momentum or class. Stop running away with your imagination and think about how scores are written !!!!
A real mess.....and before you burst your eyes open John....the arts use this an example of musical miscarriage !!!
The timing is perfect and Robert is doing his job and entertaining people, rather than boring his audience with facts and figures and stories about whos who and whats what. There was no complaints on the day (the venue was filled to capacity which is 200) and there has been no complaints since, everyone present thoroughly enjoyed themselfs. Robert has been back at this venue every year since 2009. Hecontinues to be one of the worlds best, and finest theatre organists, without doubt.
@3dwurli I suppose the Critic is gonna man a WuRliTzer himself and show Robert how it is done then post it on youtube for us ALL to Marvel at . I think NOT He probably can't even play on the Linoleum!
I bow to the master... Robert playing it as I can only wish I could!
Sorry to the Theatre Organ purists who demand it straight-laced and entertainment-free, but it just doesn't get better than this for me. A beaming example of how it should be done.
Nice to see Robert playing this again! Entertaining, just what people need to see. It would be boring if all organists played things in the same way! :-)

That was AMAZING!!!! Robert Wolfe is one of the 'big boys' in the Organ profession, and this video proves why. Thanks for posting. Regards, Paul
