  • So they provide bars and plates but don't want people using them? Perhaps they should clarify on the membership info what constitutes heavy lifting!! Or better still, take free weights out completetly, that way they don't have to worry about someone wanting to improve their physical strenth through picking heavy sh*t up coming into their nice clean club.     staying in a croutching position spends energy. it could make the difference between making a lift and missing.

    start w/ your feet at a little less than shoulder with apart and grasp w/ hand slightly outside leg. search:

  • Good way to injure yourself man, your form is pathetic. I suggest you get some proper Oly lifting coaching instead of just pretending. Quickest way to do that is to start doing Crossfit, learn what you need to about lifting PROPERLY then go back to lifting heavier. Because that wasn't a deadlift, it's a bulging disc waiting to happen. I might seem rude right now, but honestly mate, don't injure yourself and undo all your hard work. Lighten the load, (I'd say halve it) and do it properly.

  • I looked into getting a planet fitness membership once. They were offering memberships at something like $20 a month. I went in and a planet fitness employee showed me around and told me about the no noise policy, I asked him if there was a place where I could do deadlifts. He said he did not know what a deadlift was. I said "Thanks, that's all I need to know" walked out and got a membership at a real gym.
