  • my brother told me about this. You should check out the poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter" by Lewis Carroll- it kind of explains the song too.

  • lol goo goo g'joob... its koo koo kachoo are u on crack

  • Comment removed

  • i love the beatles. no one can ever replace them , try to do a covers cause i bet you suck i even suck so succkk it xD lmao

  • See my cover of it people :)

  • I am hi as u r hi as 2 from hi times five do ball together. But see how they speed see how they live Im crying: each person is a ball not an egg. Balls are whole.

Mr city policeman is the Id (sigmund freud) of work and sex sitting in judment, and the little policeman are spirits of the superego and also crazy.

So the song is about God crying at our madness, at our rejection of his help.

The sea is ego and a world of savage contest, the land is the true person the ball we ignore.

  • My fave song of them

  • They were high when they wrote this song.

  • @Imakittycat430 No shit Sherlock.

  • actually they wrote this because teachers were always analysing their songs so they made this

  • You wanna hear John Lennon? this is classic Lennon. man, just listen to him..

Last year the Boston Pops did Bohemien Rhapsody. I think they should do this one in 2011. it's a true orchestra classic if there was any.. I know they can do it correctly.. it's all Chello and horns...it has to be done..

  • is this actually the beatles??

  • @fu1501 No, it's John Lennon, the true genious of that band.

    rest his ass..

  • @fu1501 yes

  • The version of Jim Carrey is the best, srsly. And I'm a huge Beatles fan.

  • i love how this song sort of drags you along.....

  • Oh wait... I think I hear our Anthem! =P

  • Shut the fuck up donny

  • EPIC TRIP EVER!!!!

  • hey u forgot the "everybody smoke pot" at the end in the lyrics lol

  • i like this song, they wrote it when they were high :-)

  • mannn, "everybody smoke's pot" .. fuck yeah John.

  • Even though love the Beatles, this song just scares the bricks I crapped outta me.

  • quien no se maravillado por esta pieza? grandes como oasis, aerosmith, bono, etc.han hecho covers de ellos, con èsto te digo todo.

  • I remember hearing this song a lot as a kid (6-10) yrs old and just always thought it was so weird, but irresistable. The Beatles seemed to avoid anything negative as far as there music was concerned. Epic band who will never be reduplicated.

  • @rsohlich1 You were lucky to be born in that era.

  • goo goo g'joob?

    It's Koo Koo Ka Choo

  • this is the most random song I've ever heard. I swear they had to be higher than kite when they wrote this.

  • OHOHO! IJIJI! AHAHA!

    at 2:42 sounds demonic

  • Im the walrus :D

  • @edwardelricfangirl1 koo koo ka choo

  • mr.city police man city.

  • 4:13 "Oh tiny death" ? Can anyone hear what he's saying?

  • @CounterNerd He is saying "Ooh, untimely death!"

  • @tehblckdeth

Aaahhhh you don't happen to know where it's from? It's sounds like directly taken out of a movie.

  • @CounterNerd It is possibly from the Beatles movie, but I wasn't exactly sober when I watch it, so I don't remember it all that well.

  • @tehblckdeth its from a bbc broadcast of king lear that john lennon felt like putting in at the end of the song

  • @tehblckdeth It's a quote from "King Lear"

  • @tehblckdeth shakespeare lines

  • @frontery from king lear

  • @tehblckdeth Live radio broadcast of King Lear, just added into the mix as it was broadcast

  • @tehblckdeth its from a scene from king lear its a shakespere act.

this song was actually made for a teacher who made her students analyze beatle lyrics to understand what they mean, when they released this i bet she was like fuck that.

but this song is a masterpiece, it is one of the most played songs on my Itunes library by far, it never gets old and it never will, i sing it almost everyday in the shower i know every lyric(:

  • It comes from a BBC's King Lear ... which John Lennon heard when he turned on the radio while they were working on the song." From Act 4, Scene 6:

Oswald saying: "Slave, thou hast slain me. Villain, take my purse," which comes in at the 3:52 mark. After Oswald dies, we hear this dialogue:

Edgar: "I know thee well: a serviceable villain, As duteous to the vices of thy mistress As badness would desire."

    Gloucester: "What, is he dead?"

Edgar: "Sit you down, father. Rest you." "

  • @CounterNerd Its a recording from BBC radio 3 The Tragedy of King Lear. Act IV, Scene VI

  • @Voxac100b

    wow

how the hell do you know that?

  • Ahh tha'ts well known that one (kidding)

Oswald: Slave, thou hast slain me. Villain, take my purse. If ever thou wilt thrive, bury my body And give the letters which you find'st about me

To Edmund, Earl of Gloucester. Seek him out Upon the English party. O, untimely death!

Edgar: I know thee well: a serviceable villain,

As duteous to the vices of thy mistress

    As badness would desire.

Gloucester: What, is he dead? (He Dies)

Edgar: Sit you down, father. Rest you. (Gloucester sits)

  • @Voxac100b

Holy shit! Sorry for my bad language but you seem to know a lot about that kind of stuff. How old are you and how can you know so much about these kinds of acts?

  • @CounterNerd about a 102 LOL.... not that old ;) a long time Beatles fan but not old enough to have remembered them first time round. As John said there is enough little dittys in the song to keep us entertained for the next 40 years and he was right!

  • @CounterNerd Of course. It is King Leer, Act 4, Scene six.

Every Beatles fan knows that - LOL

"Bury my body oh untimely death.

    Death, a serviceable villain.

What? Is he dead? Sit you down father. Rest you."

  • @tehblckdeth I thought it was "Paul is really dead."

  • @CounterNerd Its sound clips from a radio version of King Lear

  • @CounterNerd In the background they say "Spoke pot"

  • @CounterNerd he's saying "I wish fruitcake would've thought twice, would've done right by me".

  • @TheCoddleFish: dude that's tooo creepy

  • 1 of the few beatles songs I actually like...

  • Don't you're not

  • koo koo ka choo LOL:p

  • man poeple are really trying to get all interprety.... its a song he was tripping acid makes you trip lol plain and simple... The Beatles will kick ass forever

  • Paul are you dead. rescue him

  • must be a realy big corfake and i didnt know that cuaturd came from dead dogs

  • bet part is from 2:05 to 2:14

  • 1:47 "Boy, you've been a naughty girl; you let yo niggaz down."

  • @pregnantwithtv Lol, that would be great if somebody a rap about the ghetto parody song.

  • @pregnantwithtv it's knickers (meaning underwear) not niggaz.

  • @pregnantwithtv Knickers, what the Brits call panties. Duh..

  • @pregnantwithtv it dosnt say niggas it says knickers. Listen to the song again?

  • @lilb772 exactly, it says let your knickers down.

  • @pregnantwithtv it's knickers. know your classics.

  • ~"Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday, man you've naughty boy you let your face grow long."~ is a prophecy of 9/11. Quatrain 1072 by Nostradamus is also about 9/11.~ "The year 1999, seventh month. From the sky will come a great King of terror to bring back to life the great King of the Mongols. Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."~ 1999 is 9111 "seventh month" in french is "sept mois". sept means 7. Google Arnold Joseph White and "DIVINE 9/11 INTERVENTION". It's a TRUE story,

  • @a77white nostradamus got more wrong than he got right. and the stuff he got right was stupid insignificant stuff. quit interpreting what he said to fit what happened already. give me some thing that will happen. and when it does there you go. otherwise STFU.

  • @Redn9787 Wow man, calm down.

  • @Redn9787 yeah man i perosnally do not like nostradomus he thinks he is profit but i for one do not agree

  • @a77white

Nostradamus is the king of grasping at straws. His "prophecies" are stretched to fit the theory ... because people WANT to believe ... but it's actually not true. And, I doubt The Beatles are Oracles either ... just really awesome musician.

  • I agree that this one Beatles song was an UNCONSCIOUS prediction of 9/11 and OTHER events that have not occurred yet, but I take it a lot more literally: "See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky" are the airplanes and bodies falling. The "Stupid bloody Tuesday" is the most shockingly accurate line, and "pretty little policeman in a row," "corporation t-shirts," is scary, too. Eiffel Tower is future terrorist act, "Let your knickers down," is Catholic Church scandal. King Lear important.

  • One of the weirdest songs EVER, but thats why i love it.^_^

  • esa cancion la tendria de fondo en mi mente

  • total acid trip lol great song though

  • lol i love this song, but "magical mystery tour" sounds a acid trip.
