  • wheres the full movie to this??? Ill subscribe to the person who tells me

  • i could be wrong but that spit looks like a mk5 and the raf only had mk1a and mk2 in the battle of britain!!!

  • @Ryker45 - You are absolutley right. You would think a movie about the BoB would have got that right at least.

  • @Ryker45 the MkV is almost identical to a MkI or MkII, many MkV`s were actually modified or rebuilt MkI`s or MKII`s, this does look like a MkV. easy mistake to make

  • Looks like a complete bag of shite.

  • Fantastic movie !!! Only 10 minutes, but its enough to be the best warplane movie ever.

  • where is it possible to see the complete film?

  • that english actor seems like a jew

  • @ThirdRomeAquilo don't be such an antisemetic idiot.

  • @MrLOLTRAKTOR did you learn this word on sesame street today? along with your numbers and colors?

get a brain, mr video game champion

  • @ThirdRomeAquilo antisemetic is the term for the racist anti jew ,mentality of the nazi party and has been the term ever since. I'm a historian, please don't dispute what i have known and studied for the past 5 years.

  • It that Battle of Britain?

  • couldn't find the movie :(

u sure the name of it "the German"

  • I think the german pilot suffered from brain damage after he crashed. Can´t understand a single word the man said and im german aswell.

  • You can watch the whole short @ nick ryan's vimeo channel vimeo(dot)com/31202906

  • Pardon me, For the Battle of Britain timeline, the spitfire most of them are mark2 right? And the Bf-109 are E-4s? How come for the spits they modelled after the mark5? Just for curious sake.

  • Very nice

  • This movie looks like ass

  • Great Movie !!!

  • What a shame! Looks like a cheap computer game with some bad acting thrown in. Maybe it was a comedy and I missed the jokes? Oh well the music was good.

  • BTW, the music for this short movie was written by 2 guys named Brian Crosby and Nick Seymour. The slower, reflective piece is called "Resolve" and the faster paced one is called, appropriately, "The Dogfight". As of February 2nd, 2012, you can't find them on i-Tunes but I did find where you can listen to them (can't download them, though) at:

    brian.crosby(dot)com/?p=251

    Cheers.

  • Wow! Sure there might be some historical inaccuracies, and, yes, it would be AWESOME if they made a flying movie that was 100% accurate, but you have to give the film-maker credit for doing as good a job as he did. The music is SUPERB and the dogfight scene is pretty cool. Very, very suspenseful. Good job, guys, good job!

BTW, does anyone know what music this is? Would like to know both the driving/forceful music as well as the slower, more reflective piece. AWESOME!!!

  • Ok I am completely lost. As a viewer of modern Hollywood films, I thought only black American men and Angelina Jolie fought against Nazis in WWII!?!?!? What the hell is this?

  • @networkdeath ya, whats up? is brad pitt the general? Sam jackson plays the president.

  • i can´t find this movie on amazon. i want to buy this. Sehr interessant

  • i want this movie in the theaters :p, do anybody know where i can watch the whole movie? or buy the movie?

  • @revival111 i suggest netflix, amazon, or even on youtube. There is a possibility you can rent it here or buy it.

  • Is this a Movie or a games. If its movie please send me link to download, please

  • Is this a real movie, if it is what's it called

  • alright, this is all fine, but any idiot knows that the range of a me109 is far away from ireland. it could reach london coming from france, and thats about it. its superbly made, just extremely dull they made this amateurish mistake.

  • 5:35 fake german. love non german people try to speak german. retards

  • bf 109 was much better than spitfire, movie is just shit

  • @HALO3bestGame4ever if you can prove that, then i'm mikey mouse...

  • @HALO3bestGame4ever they were on pair with Spitfire even having a slight advantage. Haven't seen the film though.

  • Que filme é esse?

  • Is the Spitfire not the wrong type for the period? Battle of Britain era Spitfires didn't have canons, weren't canons introduced on the Mk. V around 1941?

  • @xivd1234: That isn't really German! The only word I understood was "genug"!

  • is this an actual film?

  • 勉強になりました!

  • i think this is a pretty good job.

  • No matter how hard the try, the planes still look like crap.

  • I am gutted now that I found out it's only a 10 minute film.....we need a new British war film about the brave fighter pilots. Only Hollywood seem to make films now. :(

  • wait can someone please tell me is this a amateur film or a proper one??

  • looks more like a video game instead a movie,..

  • hey thats that guy from Dead Mans Shoes

  • Thumbs up for Polish air batalion 303

  • Is this a ww2 version of enemy mine?

  • @PilgrimGB Actually, Enemy Mine was loosely based on a film about a Japanese and American soldier stuck on an island together during WW2.

  • great effects are those you cannot spot.

  • 0:43 - Oxygen mask has no hose.

  • amazing, love how the tracers and bullet contrails have a bit of a curve to them

  • LOL', Coolest!

  • I think very cool movie.but how the bf -109 (fly range ca 450 km can arrive to IRELAND from some FRENCH coast aeroports.I check on GOOGLE MAPS, it is possible, but only beginer pilot can did it.it is really history.

  • hiii when can I see the movie... online... and in spanish or subtittles...! plzzzz I love this movie....

  • Special and graphic effects really sh_ts any aviation movie.

  • this is how history class should be tought

  • Why does the spitfire have cannons?

British planes were equipped with 8x .303 machine guns only in 1940.

    The cannons were mounted later!

  • @HarbingerOfAbaddon There was one squadron of Spits with 20mm cannon in 1940

  • @Xiolablu3

Hmm okay the 19th. Sq used them for 3(!) months only due to jamming and shortage on supplies.

But as you can see the marking on the spitfire in the film are FH-X(1:15) but the 19th Squadron used QV-X

    cheers

  • @HarbingerOfAbaddon it doesn't have to be 1940. it looks like an IX and dogfights happened much after 40, just not anywhere near west of UK or Ireland.

  • @dduxxford

Cant be the IX because the Spit IX had two rectangleshaped radiators under the wings. the Spit in the Video does have one rect and a circleshaped one. Next point is in 1:35 why does the spit a half barrelroll before diving? The only reason to do this is when the engine is a carburator.

  • @HarbingerOfAbaddon

Because it looks dramatic. Film as a medium relies on visuals and movements to tell the story. If you made everything realistic, it becomes either unseeable for the planes would be so much farther apart ( 0:59 ) or it would look and feel boring. Nothing in movies is real, it is all made to be dramatic. Al;l we can hopefor is it doesn't become blatantly stupid like Pearl Harbor or Flyboys

  • "The German"

  • what is the name of this movie?

  • SHUT UP!

  • Shit - thats fuckin toby kebbell :D

  • WHERE THE HELL CAN I WATCH THIS???

  • what programs did they use?? any gueses?

  • Omg i am german i cant even understand what the "German" says at 5:35

  • @xivid1234 you know that doesn't even sound like he's speaking German.

  • @xivid1234 Das einzige was ich verstanden habe war "scheißkerl", "genug" und "bitte" xD

  • @xivid1234 hör mir jetzt damit auf, genug, thats what he says, "stop it now, enough",

sounds like an bavarian accent ;)

  • @xivid1234

"Hör mir jetzt damit auf. Genug, Genug jetzt. Tu es. Do it"

  • @xivid1234 "nimm die waffe weg von meinem kopf....genug...bitte...bitte" glaub ich

  • @xivid1234

"For me Tommie, ze Var ist over!"???????

  • @xivid1234 "Please dont kill me, i have no money !"

  • All that effort for realism and accuracy and when the spitfire chases the messerschmitt low across farmland we clearly see the track lines made by modern farm machinery.

  • @BradBrassman

    They had tractors then too.

  • Did I miss something? Where does it say Tochy was involved in this?

  • Good to see the graphic genius "Suppon" Tochy is still around. Remember his "Merlins" clip in YouTube?

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS FILM??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MegaGuitar87 Battle of Britain

  • imdb.com/title/tt1330608/ Someinfo on this short film. Try DARK BLUE WORLD if you like this clip.

  • Its an Irish production! Nice one! :D

  • Is this an actual movie? I can't find it anywhere.

    Does it have another tittle?

Where can I get this movie?

  • The movie looks really cool, the fx are rather good but, there really isn't anything all that interesting about the behind-the-scenes of CGI. Some wireframes here, some compositing there. There's nothing surprising and the finals shots elicit no "How did they do that?" because the answer is always CGI.

  • The Spitfire is definitely a Mk Vb. It can be distinguished from the earlier Mk I and Mk II by the more pointed spinner and deeper radiator under the wing. They only entered service in March 1941, so judging from the lovely summer weather in the movie, this dogfight probably would have happened in May or June 1941.

The Bf 109E was in the process of being replaced by the Bf 109F, but a few Bf 109E's were still around in France as late as August 1941, mainly given to new or enlisted pilots.

  • @timonsolus

also that the Vb had cannon instead of all 303s...but the spad grip in cocpit only had 1 firing button :(

also..the titles wrong of corse..BoB??? HA!

  • Nice, but obviously fake.

  • @Theakker3 Obviously you twat

  • @SkinScene You're the fucking twat, asshole.

  • prosze o namiary gdzie moge sciagnac ten film

  • niggdzie nie moge go znalezc prosze o namiary z gury dziekuje

  • Gdzie moge sciagnac ten film?

  • OMG OMG OMG I want to watch this movie NOW! is torrent available ???? I'm IL-2 fan, and have to see this one! :D :D :D :D :D

  • Great effects but you need a whole movie . Not much point in 10 mins .

  • I love the score, any one know who its by?

  • I can not belive the quantity of technical mistakes this called "film" has, on this days it is unaceptable

  • too much FX.. not realistic .. i feel like im playing IL2

  • Unfortunately, it is not a full lenght movie but a ten minutes short film. Good looking anyway. And CGI is not playing with the laws of physics, an CGI animator was...

  • CGI once again playing with the laws of physics... Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.... i don't need to see this.

  • maybe they sholda consulted with some of the great moviemakers using IL21946 with the mods patches for some ideas....

  • amazing, someone has finally got it into their wee brains to make a ww2 fighter pilot movie, good on them. like like like like like!!!!!!

  • How I missed this movie's release...I dunno. Thanks for upping this, I'm gonna rent/buy it. I love WWII films (made in modern day).

  • @ArmAVidz

hi, do you know where we can find this film?

  • @JohnyE007

I thought I'd be able to find it but I have not been able to. I really would like to see it.

  • WOW

  • you would think with all these special efects they would actually make the spitfire a mk1.........

  • Waaaaaaaaaaauuu...That is movie this?God that movie pass!

    Dammit! handsome God!.

    for when the movie premieres?

  • cut out all the cgi shit add good music and that would make a nice vid to watch

  • hey whats better out of il2 1946 and il2 wings of prey?

  • @gameaddiction999 Movie ... Few physics and graphic errors. IL-2 1946 (4.09m) + UP 2.01 or 4.10 patch is better!. Both versions are very good to fly on Hyper Lobby servers for example. "Wings of Prey" have got only better graphic. And it's ONLY advantage!!!.

  • @gameaddiction999 IL2 1946 by far is better

  • Wing tips on the 109 E are too rounded off.

  • When came the Film in the cinema?

  • Here's what the Palm Springs Film Society says about this film.

A dogfight between a British air force pilot and a German ace over the skies of Ireland is resolved in unanticipated ways once their battle becomes earthbound.

There's no way in hell that 109 has the range to get to Ireland and back to it's base in occupied France.

  • @IIJG27Rich Yes it does, if it doesnt have to escort bombers. The range of a Bf109 is about 400miles. The Channel is only 10-20 miles across. A Bf109 could easily end up fighitng a Spitfire over Southern Ireland. Especially if there is a chase before hand

  • @Xiolablu3 I guess so but how could he make it back to France. You're right on about the range though and they weren't allowed drop tanks during the Battle Of Britain and I can't for the life of me find a reason why. I really don't know the exact range in miles it would be from the nearest base of a German Jagdgeschwader to the coast of Ireland but as I have finally seen this great little film witch I thought was fantastic by the way these events really did happen. Very interesting. I love 109s

  • @IIJG27Rich Thanks for the link mate. There were no decent drop tanks available during BOB, However does the film say the date was definitely 1940 BOB? I'm pretty sure that Spitfires and Bf109's tussled over the Channel/Britain and France right up to around 1943, after that it was too dangerous and the Luftwaffe rarely ventured over Britain in daylight apart from fast reconaisence Bf109's that avoided combat. Heinze Knocke flew a Bf109E vs the British in 1941.

  • @Xiolablu3 Well it says Nov. 1940 so The Battle Of Britain would be well over as far as any hope of Operation Sea Lion working. The channel would be too stormy. 109 E's had drop tanks in North Africa but by the the were well into E7's not E3's and E4's. and F's came soon and that was the end of the Emil. If you ever want to get into flight sims there's non better than IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. Check out Wolfs movie "The Desert Dogfighter"

  • @IIJG27Rich No I mean does the film say that it is set during the BOB for sure? Bf109E's were still used in 1941 and even 1942 in Russia and Africa. I am a Mod on IL2 UBI forum ;) Same name.

  • @Xiolablu3 No I don't think so. Just the channel November 1940. You'll be wanting to get to work on Cliffs Of Dover then :)

  • @IIJG27Rich Yeah there is an UBI Cliffs of Dover forum I am a mod too. I dont work on the game, just mod the forum :)

  • How does a person get to see this short film?
