Hi I've been wanting to make or find a proto cosmos backing track to improv over, and I was wondering what the general scale I should use? if someone could let me know, that would be great, I'm sort of new to this.
One general scale won't get you there. There are different colors for each chord. C#minor, A Major, CMaj #11, BMaj#11, Emin9. Hope this points you in the right direction.
@alanpasqua :O Wow, straight from the guy who wrote the tune! I've developed a lot since that comment, and I found out the chords a while ago. So I can play to it fine now :) Your skills are amazing, I wish I could see you live one day (preferably with Allan holdsworth).

Can you tell me how you are getting that distinct sound? not tone, but stylistically. are you playing wider intervallic leaps than normal? what kind of harmonic devices are characteristic of your style? I very much enjoyed this. Please do answer.

This backing track is made by myself.
As you said, I think my play style is wider intervalic than usual.
Harmonic devices are elements of deciding my sound's charactor.
