  • Lunatic Harness is one of, if not his best album

  • Adverts on someone elses music? Not sure that's right.

  • Poo yourself Jason.

  • goosebumps...so many memories with this music... the sound of 1997.

  • @tomidlak

can you believe it has been that long???? i remember the week this came out. don't even get me started about the Brace Yourself Remix......

  • @dehliadarling

i remember i had been listening to this constantly in the autumn 97-summer 98.:))

almost every day. i was 16-17 back then and this music was a great adventure. anyway the cd is still at home and it feels great to play it on.:)

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

    ?

  • my name is Jason.... how awesome

  • I really cant decide my favorite u ziq song, although its this one that continuously gets stuck in my head.

  • in my opinion, that album was shit, the only good ones are hasty boom alert antdhis one

  • @KaunisRoheIine in my opinion, you don't need to bring your hatred here unnecessarily. you could've just said you liked those two songs but instead you opted for negativity. i'll never understand humanity's desire to showcase its annoyances

  • @rhymeswithgabriel sorry :(

  • @KaunisRoheIine you seem to regret saying it and i don't hold grudges, so apology definitely accepted!

  • @rhymeswithgabriel best vibes

  • @rhymeswithgabriel its the need to have feelings validated but if one is unaware of em and cant process them then this is what happens. Its not really about the subject in point, goes further back imo.. great track!

  • @riseup20twelve pretty sure you can have your feelings validated without resorting to negativity, but whatever floats your boat mang!

  • @rhymeswithgabriel err i don't do it mate, was just givin me 10cents :)

  • @rhymeswithgabriel hey i was checking out what you said about human desire....it reminds me of a thought......being social animals...i often wondered how we have such a hard time loving someone or something....but have such an easy comprehension of hate....why is it so easy to hate someone but so hard to love them...we can do one thing wrong and scar our credibility as a friend for a lifetime....and it can take a lifetime to truly love some one......isn't that unjust?

  • @JavaSpitLava you don't necessarily have to see hatred and love as each others' antithesis, rather i think people are just terribly afraid of others and thus struggle to understand them. so it's probably more of a fuzzy swirling mess of misinformation that causes hatred instead of it being some force. if there are an infinity of things to say or do to a person, and each person needs something specific said/done to them to be happy, then there is an absurdly high chance of making someone hate you

  • @rhymeswithgabriel its simply the law of ethnic stance.....we are so diverse....yet we are all within this one earth......i think we just need to understand one anothers temptations....and realize, we only do these things because we enjoy them....instead of utilizing the negative aspect of the actions.....forgetting digression and pessimistic criticism....laissez-faire the oddities....peace can happen...realistically, never will though

  • @KaunisRoheIine Agree some what. They are the best tracks. Billious Paths is his masterpiece. The foolow up was awful.

  • @KaunisRoheIine Suomalainen vai?

  • this album is a masterpiece

  • I finally found this album in hardcopy CD. So I bought it, and the record store guy forgot to put the disc in the case. Right now I have Lunatic Harness without the actual CD inside it. This sucks.

  • THE DRUMS

  • R.I.P. Hip Hop 1987-1998

  • Poo yourself.

  • @ignoranttwat Jason.

  • Well crap, this brings back memories.

  • funny how the album is from mother fucking 1997 and its so FRESH. Love IDM, will never get old.. NEVER.

  • so good. love the ending :)

  • How fucking good is this for fucks sake?

  • I must admit, that despite being a huge Aphex Twin fans for years now, I have never checked out µ-Ziq before... After hearing this, I regret not checking him out years ago :(

But I suppose it's never too late to enjoy good mu-sic, eh? :P

  • I just realice the group "Air" has stolen this melody here from Mike for one of their latest albums. I love Air but just lost a bit my respect for them. How they can just copy a melody of Mike Paradinas? I hope Mike likes "Air". If not, they could get trouble. I should email Cylob. I just have his Emailadress. But otherwise, its not my problem.

  • @OuroGoku Obvious bad trolls are obvious.

  • shut up you dog willys

  • capolavoro assoluto tra techno,trance,jazz,funk e......gioia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @OuroGoku No, once again you fail at trolling. I'm in a good mood now so I won't flame you. Have a good day.

  • @OuroGoku Nice fail trolling again. You fail.

  • @OuroGoku Cool Story Bro.

  • love it. have this on double vinal release.... now crank it up and feel the melodies and rhythms............

  • baaah so good

  • @OuroGoku ah i understand, however from what i've read, he's also a nerd. so i think it's tongue-in-cheek

  • Unbelievable

  • One of my favorite songs of all time

  • Makes me go on a trip from orange to violet, and the cristal fuxia with golden drops flowing to a nest of concrete, over a mountain of skulls, then i see mario bros working on their lap tops, designing our world, and everithing explodes in a nuclear attac and when all is grey, a drop of orange music falls and makes grow a body that makes music with the eyes, looking around, and cry because is alone...

  • yeesss - nice - mike at his BEST!

  • E P I C

  • pure bliss , too bad theres no more such caliber of an artists that make the difference ! and makes you want to buy their albums just because it has a special charisma One Love Stay high friends

  • thank you

  • your gf hears a bunch of different songs playing at once because she is a dumb bitch...

however those breaks are samples, so technically yes he is playing somebody elses songs... but just the breaks, and even those are probably mangled sped up and rearranged...

the other elements of this song, are sounds like an old drum machine triggering some kind of yamaha dx synth presets, at least thats what it sounds like, and some lush other synth pads over it all.

  • your gf hears a bunch of different songs playing at once because she is a dumb bitch...

  • @USEDESUSEDESUSED lololololololololol

  • @shenmue4life Calling something like this lush compared to your own personal uploads is kind of pathetic, good sir.

  • @YourNoose uhh, when did i ever say i didnt like the song, this is one of my favorite tunes

  • Poo Yourself Jason! But in all honesty, this song rules.

  • brilliant. I wonder how some people don't hear music whent they hear this? My girlfriend only hears noise. Sounds crazy but does anyone think it could be a genetic fluke like myostatin inhibitor genes or the small percentage of the human pop. that can see a paticular shade of blue?

  • well, i always thought it has something to do with one's upbringing ,education, sort of family, also ,timing of introducing a kind of musicstyle;one day one can love this, another day one can dislike this, the whole surrounding has to be in a certain balance, also with this kind, one has to grow to the sound, step by step..........thats what i was thinking, people are strange you know...complex creatures!grtz

  • @olivierpil Yeah thats probably way more likely ocham's razor and all

  • how bout : a lot of people are formated by what the music industry feeds them on RD & TV ?.......

  • heavy man, that would prove once again, that certain people on earth r still very close to the prehistorical species, there brain too, no own thoughts. no fear. (dangerous!) yea ,you r right ! (giv em space to evolve, they need time) ; )

  • It proves nothing about the supposed preeminence of these people's reptilian brain. I'm sure this guy's GF has other qualities, otherwise he wouldn't stay w/ her. AFA i'm concerned, it's purely empirical : i've noticed it's really hard 2 convince people 2 listen 2 music they don't know, whatever the genre. In a society ruled by marketing & commerce, wherein talent & craftmanship are rather obstacles than stepstones, the hamburgers of music rule !

  • Her major complaint about such music is how varried it is. To most of us the song is a mosaic with each element, though beautiful in its own way, complementing the greater tapestry of sound. To her it's a multitude of different songs being played at once. I like you find this is a quite common opinion.

  • "Mosaic, tapestry", you say... May I recommend (2 u as well as 2 yer GF) a live performance by a great innovative band, Tortoise : /watch?v=5sps7YxLeYM

    NJOY !

  • ahhahah we have a genius here! or perhaps someone that just thinks like me.

  • nah you just need a new girlfriend

  • omg lol, you made me laugh. xD

But maybei ts true, pop musicians are very self-centered andm ainstream ignorant, sometimes.

  • And what's whith you're girlfriend, if she cant ´hear that this is music then she must be a long or big music listener...

  • Comment removed

  • cool story bro

  • dammit we need more awesome albums like this and the brace yourself ep... complex melody plus complex beats... yes please!

  • @rhymeswithgabriel to tha beat so sweet make ya move your feet, i got nerds and geeks sayin' "well aint that neat!"

  • @rhymeswithgabriel Genre: Nerdcore Hip-Hop

  • @fwahstatus was never really into nerdcore because listening to it felt like listening to a couple kids with low self-esteem ragging on people exactly like them (or themselves) for laughs. for me at least, no thanks, high school ended years ago. don't think nerdcore rappers would be considered legitimate rappers, more or less just comedians who can rap about one topic.

  • @rhymeswithgabriel yt cracker does

  • @shenmue4life ha you couldn't be more of a tool think before you speak, or type whatever

  • @shenmue4life -Yeah 'cos rappers are so fucking cool and talented. µ-Ziq has more skill in his pinky that 99% of yo rappers who be disin these so called nerds.

  • - Eargasm.

Simply hyperbolic in it's texture and awesomeness.

    THE BEST SONG EVER.

  • too good to be true,

I never believe my ears while hearing this

  • masterpiece

  • this song is amazing, like hearing a story told without words...

  • nothing else to say except 5/5 stars, thank you for posting this song!!!!

  • yeah but you have to be highly intelligent to really get it, to a lot of dumb people this stuff gives them headaches, its called idm for a reason

  • shen, why the fuck someone gave you a thumb down is horrible! your deffeintly right, when you say intelligent you shoud be more specific and mean musicaly intelligent as us producers,/musicans all understand the perfection that goes into each and every one of µ-Ziq's tracks. :)

  • yessshhhh... IDM and nerds FTW!

  • ditch the nerds and that sentence would be cool, you dont have to be a "nerd" to like this you know

  • This guy uses breaks better than anyone else I've ever heard. Very well constructed.

  • U-Ziq is a super underrated artist no one knows him in the US. I've been a fan since the beginning and after several listenings enjoy the new album alot!

  • Yeah I've heard of his music but, this is the first time i've really listened to it.

I love it. It's very smooth and chilled out relaxed. The drum track is very nice.

  • this is my youth. µ-ziq, squarepusher, luke, tortoise, hrvatski, bogdan, aphex, vsnares you hooked me up.

  • yeah that basically sums up my highschool years. just add BoC, Chemical Brothers, Jaga Jazzist, Gorillaz, The Avalanches, RJD2, Frog Pocket, Add N to (X), The Flaming Lips, and Chris Clark. Ok so I guess it doesn't sum my high school years, but one of my favorite parts of high school. Oh yeah also really liked GY!BE

  • @rgawer2 Luke Slater?

  • @badreligionbomb

no luke vibert aka wagon christ or plug. but slater is fine, too

  • @rgawer2

    duntkno wat u meen...

  • Here, here. Though I've never heard of "tortoise" or "hrvatski".

  • @maddash24seven Tortoise is an awesome "post-rock" band....they play kind of a soft rock/jazz fusion with electronics

  • @rgawer2 ha story of my life bro

  • this is beautiful.

  • HOLY CR*P!!!! I heard this song on an MTV ad and I wondered who it was! Thank you so so much!!!

  • at 4:47 starts sounding like NES sound effects, very cool

  • the meaning of mind 90s idm.

nothing like it produced these days!

  • there will always be nerds with laptops there will always be idm

  • .................................... We should separate nerds from producer...these guys are MUSICIANS, not nerds. Well, maybe it's the case for µ-ziq I don't know, but a lot of good producer hate the nerds clientele since they are too much conservative.

  • I agree there are too many gear queers and chin-stroking "analysts" that don't understand that good music especially stuff like IDM and Breakcore is not just about "I see what you did there!"

  • @shenmue4life says the guy sat on a PC with fkn Shenmue4life as his name, what a cock.....

  • @shenmue4life If nerds have awesome fucking taste in music then i guess we're nerds

  • schwabbel....

  • mmmm.... :)

    lovely!!

why such quality music is not being written anymore?

  • I was stoked when Mike released a song with my name in it.... after this discovery Ive enjoyed him even more so than when I first listened to Salsa With Mesquite

  • absolutely fantastic electronic

  • Wannabe!! - Dirty

  • anybody else dl this on 56kps back in the day? this was part of my initial exposure to non-commercial radio music, also on my earliest trip playlists ;D

  • yes... when it came out I streamed it over 56k before I bought it... beautiful

  • I first heard this track about a week ago and noticed that the beginning sounds almost just like the intro to mimesis off of the bomberman hero game. Check out the video to see what I mean.

I would post a link myself, but every time I tried to, youtube wouldn't post my comment.

  • Its like a dirty little story the whole album :) Its dirty and he knows it.... Pure filth...

  • from his fuckin best album

  • i think mu-ziq just used the title for his own reason and snares was just influenced by him and made it clear by using jason in the title of one of his songs

  • Poo yourself jason is a line from an episode of adult swims "home movies".

But influenced by mu-ziq is still probably true.

    They are both fabulous songs.

  • who is jason? mu-ziq uses this title and then venetian snares uses poo yourself jason on detramentalist as a song title...i think a jason somewhere is getting bullied haha

  • Jason Köhnen is Bong-Ra's birth name ;]

  • bong-ra's first album was a year after lunatic harness

  • My name is Jason. I guess I will hold on to my chair?

  • it's gorgeous. it's like an 808 state record, only better

  • earboggling stuff

  • amazing track!

  • where can i download this songs ? i tried in limewire no luck =(

  • try a torrent

  • or try buying it

  • haha of course, if you find a copy of any µ-Ziq album that's an accomplishment in its own right

  • and i found in pine effect at a wherehouse. so there :)

  • really? i see a bunch of them at the record store

  • yeah... for me its like... one of the two record stores near me removed its electronic section. REMOVED.

  • great song, nice vibe
