Hey, I just purchased a used Technics SL-Q2 that needs extensive cleaning and this vid doesn't really show how to extensively clean turntables. How do ya clean the motor and change the oil? How about cleaning the tonearm? Do ya have any advice?

if you rub the platter too hard you loose the protective layer on the platter and it will get dirty in weeks

hot water light rubbing is the way mixed with wd40

those dots on the frame of the platter is used as a control of your pitch going steady or not. there is a scale on the right side of the platter

Nice Vid,

you can also clean it up by using some Oil like WD40 or compared to that. It also clean up your hands with it, cause it will relax the dirt and then you can wash it away with some soap.

what kinda lens is that on your camera, its neat, like a wide angle lens or something, i wonder if my video program can mimic that effect...
