  • Thank you for the lecture!

  • You're just jealous of the professor. I don't care of the negative remark. Thank you professor for this wonderful lecture.

    09/09/2011 - Jackson Heights NY

  • great channel :D

  • Am very much thankful for his time, and educating many like me...Thank you and dont care about the rest of negative comments.

  • he's such a typical indian hahahah

  • @kashenclosed

whats there to "haw haw' about ?....

  • @abduas00 yeah ??....

how abt u doing a SHORT video on this thing N not wearing a pink shirt....N the best thing....U urself only watch it !!!

  • @conductance99 real smooth

  • Ohm... Sahana kabatoo..

  • What language is he speaking?

  • @Reqrezentin very funny ....... if you dont want to watch the video to actually learn something shut the hell up......

  • @Reqrezentin swahily to stupid ass.

  • Nice intro

  • its good, but i think you're not getting to the point fast enough

  • @TomsGuns I'm kinda glad he takes his time getting to the point.. It's Quantum Mechanics

  • Please tell sanjay kumar to tell the students that we're just taught the rules of the game and the game itself.

  • i live in new york and this actually helped me on my regents

  • Can somebody explain to me why on the website of the "dynamic periodic table", isotopes have different mass numbers?

  • @euch27; An isotope of an element has the same number of protons and electrons; however, the number of neutrons is different from isotope to isotope. Adding neutrons will add mass.

  • @Bandaidman2002 Oh, thanks, I understand it now -- on that certain website you can change from the point of view (isotopes, orbitals, and properties) ... the atomic mass number was in the same spot as the atomic number and I saw that it kept changing. So that was confusing..it was just the periodic table. Thanks for the explanation though :).

  • Its fantastic. Its simple and reliable. Now am remembering the words of Richard Feynman. " I couldn't do it. I couldn't reduce it in to the simpler level. That means we really don't understand it". But you had proved that, you can make quantum chemistry to simpler level . That's awesome.

  • I like how he says "we really dont know sh!t" But he uses fancy words so he sounds like he does!XD Classic

  • Introduction rocks!

  • don't hire this guy , his i.Q is only 90 like the rest

    of the indians.

  • He(Prof. Mangal Sundar) took Group Theory and Molecular Spectroscopy(Rotational Vibrational, Raman and PhotoElectron Segments) in my Masters@ IIT Madras!!!

  • thank you!

  • bet you don't know the chemistry to make curry smarty pants.

  • excellent work!

  • The way he says development :)

  • LEKKEREOMA,

    cos he's clever? indian? humble?

  • @lekkereoma

Because The Medium of Instruction for Higher Learning in India is English

  • Good lecture. Thank you Prof. Sunder. We students need people like you...

  • the best!

  • AWESOME

  • yes!

  • For the kind information of all the folks who found the lectures to be time waste. This is a visiting faculty at MIT for the past many years.

  • given your comment, I can draw the conclusion that you have no intellectual maturity

  • Wow, you're mature..

  • why???

  • Great Lecture. Clear and interesting. This is not an easy topic, this lecture was well formulated so that any student would be able to grasp the theme and then 'jump off' into a more details discription at a later leture.

  • Hi, i am an Industrial Chemist with 40 years of experience and I sat what a load of bollocks.

He spends forever telling us what he is goilg to do. Then he tells us what he is not going to do.

I gave up waiting for him to actually tell us something.

I cant belive he is a Professor.

This must be a new meaning of the word I have not seen before

  • That´s why you work in industrie and he´s a teacher. Two different ways of thinking!!!

  • so do u want to suggest that those who work in induustries aren't smart enough?

  • I was on the edge of my seat for the first 7 minutes getting excited about learning all the stuff he "is going to teach later on"... before coming to the same conclusion you did. sigh :/ Maybe better luck with a different lecture...

  • dear, its Lecture 1.... These videos are recordings of the sessions in the class there. So, go to advanced topics and later lectures if you want advanced information.

  • @markbackshall

    This is An Introductory Class.

Each Instructor has his/her Own style.

  • @markbackshall

I took quantum mechanics many years ago. Sir, why do you say such a terrible thing? I am not asian/indian/never had indian prof but enjoyed his lecture. Not a fan of indian accent either but the man did a good job. Is it because he is Indian? If you think you are better, then post a video.

  • hi good lecture

  • Lecture is lucid, crystal clear and all can follow . pl. continue the lectures

  • if posted on net like this i get the interest to study .. in class i used to sleep or day dream ! thanx for posting this whoever you are .. i owe you a lot .. you're doing a great job!

  • Yes ... more lectures if you would please! Many thanks and our best regards!

  • 10 lectures are posted, is there more to the course? If so, could you post the remainder Prof. Sunder? thank you.

  • I appreciate Professor Sunder's lecture. I have been seeking time to understand or at least be introduced to quantum mechanics. This is a crystal clear explanation for a very intelligent and wonderful work of human being.

  • Keep them coming. I love these lectures.

  • awesome

  • Hi Congratulation on an excellent lecture
