@spaceorbison I think this fellow is referring to a garbage biography of Roy written by Ellis Amburn ('Dark Star') in which he claims that Roy asked his best friend Bobby Blackburn to get him some cocaine whilst touring up in Vancouver. Of course, Roy was dead and unable to defend himself but his family really went after Amburn. Frankly, I cannot imagine anyone less likely than shy Roy to want to 'do' coke. Mind you, he liked to bring a couple of Coca-Colas into the recording booth.

I respect your feelings for Raul, so let's leave it there, that you are crazy about Raul. In your dreams does Raul fill Roy's shoes. Raul is an imitator (karaoke) not an innovator. Raul is not even in the same league with Roy. There is absolutely no comparison.

Two weaks ago my wife died at age 55. Now i can feel what Roy has lost in his days and why he wrote that beautiful song " In dreams" Because in dreams i see my wife playing with my two boys!!

He is incredibly talented. He has some voice but nobody can contact the pain like Roy did. He wrote this song about his wife and baby who died in a terribly tragic fire. I hope hes holding them in his arms now...RIP Roy

As far as i know his wife died in a motorcycle incident and he had two sons who died in , his house burning down ,That is the story they told me!!

yes his wife died on the back of a motorcycle and his children in a fire. I can only imagine the strength the man had to have to survive what life tossed his way .He should be an inspiration to us all as we examine our loses.

Excellent cover!!! I'm so glad that we have Raul Malo after Roy Orbison's death in 1989!! Roy lives on through Raul!! I am working on getting every song that Raul Malo has done. Every cover Raul has done, has been a sensational hit in my book!! Raul could sing anything; (jingle bells, an old christian hynm, or nursery rhyme) and he would make it sound awasome!! Keep it up Raul!! Us adults need your music; as there is not an artist out there that sounds like Roy Orbison. You're the only one!
