Metal/rock lyrics are by far the most creative and meaningful lyrics of any other genre. My favorite lyricists are Necrophagist, Meshuggah, and Soundgarden.

I never actualy cared to read Necrophagist lyrics, just listened to music, and I'm actualy quite surprised. I thought they would be kinda retarded like Canibal Corpse, but it actualy has a lot of meaning, like somewhat different perception of what happens after death, not only what happens with our souls, but what happens with our bodies. I like it.
The lyrics do have alot of relevance to the song, trying to explain what happens to us after we pass as far as afterlife and the preservation of the mind is concerned.
they're not that gory. kind of like Carcass' lyrics, full of medical terminology and biological processes. this music is extremely philosophical in comparison to most mainstream death metal.
It's Muhammed who plays the solo? or Christian Muenzner?

Now those are real Death Metal lyrics... Just hideous and disgusting. Absolutly gross, could make you gag, and it's horrifying.
The coolest part, is that the lyrics never ever have anything to do with killing. (Wich lots of typical metal does)
