actually dude its considered the 4x800m and the 3200m relay no matter where your from. Thats what it is called. Just because it is called 3200m relay does not mean it is 4x3200m... 3200m relay = 3200m total ran. Every true track runner knows what the 3200m relay is and that it is equivalant to calling it the 4x800m relay.
This should be called Alan Webb's handoff and finish.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
maybe in the marines. but in REALITY, and in the OLYMPICS and the RECORD BOOKS it is the 4x800m
4 times, by 800 m's aka two laps = the race.
3200m would essentially be a relay consisting of multiple laps of 3200m.

more specifically it would be the 4x800m relay but you can also call it the 3200m relay
im pretty sure it can be a 3200m relay even if it isnt 4x800m
it could be a 400m, 2 200s a 800 and a mile
but i think that would be called the distance medley relay

wtfrank3stayrunnin 4 years ago
no, it's the 3200m relay (4x8) - a full two miles is slightly farther than 3200m
