  • do CS:S works well on Apple Mac Mini MC815KA?

  • will it work for ibook g4??

  • The beta online version came in1999. it was avabile in stores in 2000

  • i dont like that idea or ur screen

  • Your blatant fanboyism is just beginning to annoy me now. Blocked.

Also, Mac's can right click you dumbass. You just proved you know jack shit about Mac's.

  • Thank god. He was killing me on buying a new mac mini over a budget pc. Besides, the mac mini is to hold me over till I can build the mac pro I want.

  • @MacintechStudios hey im having troubel idk if you have gmod but to do ragdoll poses you need to left and right click at the same time i have the wireless mouse but i was wondering if you had any suggestions thanks

  • @MacintechStudios your the dumbass mac's can right click just because the mouse has no buttons on it you still can Mac's rule they dont crash and are faster!

  • mac sucks. buy a pc theyre better :P. mac is only good for video editing.

  • Care to make any valid statements as to why Mac's suck?

  • whoa u replied fast. and sure why not

    1. im a gaming guy, and its no shit gaming goes to PC

    2. almost everything (i think everything), can be done on a PC that can be done on a Mac.

    3. overpriced as a motherfucker

    4. hows the right click doing?

    5. harder to find programs.

6.hardware u gotta get thru apple.. cant just pickup a cd from best buy.

im not tryna piss u off, but i dislike macs.

  • 1) My Mac can game too. Handles Left 4 Dead, Crysis, etc incredibly well.

    2) Actually, nope. You can't run any mac-specific app where as I can run both Mac and Windows apps.

    3) No they're not, do the math.

    4) Just fine actually. As well as my 3rd-12th clicks (I have a 12 button mouse for uber multi-tasking).

    5) Maybe if you've never used a Mac and never had a reason to look. TUAW and MacUpdate are both great sites.

    6) Pick up what CD? Huh? Number 6 doesn't make sense.

  • 1) PC can handle much better for cheap price (more in 3))

    2) Still better programs out there than Mac's programs.

    3) I already did.. take Mac Mini for ex. its about 700 dollars. you can get a gaming PC for 400 dollars, which can run crysis max settings and about 30 fps. Mac mini is about $700 +300 (crossover) + 60-250 (whichever windows u want) +20 (antivirus)

    4) windows has the same

    5) I do use a Mac, almost twice a weekish ... school stuff.

    6) like for installing the files and stuff.

  • 1) If you look at base specs (CPU< RAM< Video card, etc), then yes. But Mac's come with a lot of nice other things (802.11n, Blutooth, slot loading drive, etc) they added up over time. I wouldn't trade these in for something cheaper that lacks them.

    2) You can't really say this because you've never used a Mac for personal use.

    3) Crossover is $30.... Again, the Mini has blutooth, 802.11n, etc. That $400 I guarantee you doesn't have them.

    4) Has the same what?

  • ( its fun to argue )

    1) But you wouldnt really use that stuff blutooth on a comp would ya? and whats 802.11n?

    2) I already answered that

    3) Same thing as 1 pretty much

    4) windows has the same mouse thing... the razer naga actually has 17 programmable buttons..or 12 i forgot..

    5) Naw.. its that 24" mac.. WHICH COSTS 1700!?

    6) haha dude, installing XP on windows was easy as peeling a banana. sure it takes pretty long, but really doesnt even matter. plus vista and windows 7 go by fast too.

  • 1) I do, as well as many people. Also, 802.11n is pretty much the best type of wifi card you can get in consumer products. All new Mac's come with it installed.

    2) You said you used a Mac at school, but not for personal use.

    3) See 1

    4) Yeah, but your argument was that Mac's couldn't right click. You're wrong.

    5) Which 24"? The crappy one from 2007?

  • 6) Try installing OS X. Not so easy and it will break a lot due to the hacks being used. I can install both OS X and Windows on my machine simultaneously. I can even run Windows apps via Wine or Crossover. Or run Windows in VMWare fusion. I get the best of both worlds. You don't.

  • 5) Nop, the latest desktop that theyve released, excluding the Mac Pro, which is a 3000 dollar comp, which is completely overkilled, since u dont need freakin 4 tb HD and a 32 gb ram

    6) but srsly, once again, if ur gunna go OS X, go mac. if ur gunna go PC, why the fuck wud u buy something for like atleast 300 dollars more and then spend another 80 dollars getting windows. if u did that ur probably the worlds biggest dumbfuck.

  • He crippled you, You had 6 arguments and he brought you down to the last two.

  • 5) Lol. Basing whether a Mac is good off of a school Mac? You kidding me? I could say the same about school PCs. School computers all suck. The IT tends to cripple them.

    6) Installing applications is easier in OS X than Windows. It's drag and drop install, unlike in Windows where you have to go through an installer.

  • ANY GAME FOR MAC, COME TO ME!!!

Includong Counter Strike 1.6 or Source

  • yeah! Would be awesome! Make that channel!!

  • I love CS:S, and I played Combat Arms. It sucked ass, It's free for a reason.

  • actualy changed my mind, yh its free cos it aint as good a cod or cs but its a good game compared to other free games

  • Combat Arms sucks dick. The whole GP aspect and un-realistic graphics suck.

  • hey is counter strike source

can you play it on a mac???

and does it work on the mac???

  • yea it does, get cider port css.

  • If you want. PM if you can't find me. I go by "[L4DP] Near"

  • Where can you download this CS? gonna buy a mac book with 24" monitor so I can take it away and use it @ home as a iMac ;) Very usefull! :) Thanks in advance!

  • You need Steam. There's an app called Crossover Games which you can use to run it.

  • If i had the 2.26 GHz processor and 4GB ram for the NEW mac mini, would that increase the graphics card's performace?

  • 4 GB with integrated graphics is always better than 2gb. Though it wouldn't increase performance for this game, it would for others lik Half-Life 2.

  • I'll like the idea!

  • U reckon i could play Source on 2.1 ghz and Nvidia Geforce 940?

  • You can set a FPS limit from the console for vertical synchronization. The cvar is fps_max.

For example, if your refresh rate is 60, enter:

    fps_max 60

  • haha noo you dont have to buy crossover !!

    i get it 4 free !!

    xDD

go on illegal sites then you will find it

  • hey thanks for both of these programs i downloaded both of them but it always freezes when im loading a server in cs?

do i need to buy the full crossovergames?

  • hey quick question could you kinda give me a list of games that would work on a mac mini? im kinda new to it and i need help :P

  • hey thx just subscribed... o and i was wondering which patch did u use for counter strike (does it need bootcamp)and did u just buy counterstrike as a pc game and patch it to match a mac format... thx for all the help

  • I used Crossover Games. It lets you install Windows games on the mac.

  • please make a channel just for mac gaminig... i have a macbook and i could really use the help. i would subscribe. great vid

  • I have, just not announcing it in a video till the channel hits 100 subscribers. But I'll tell you here. It's "wbokunic".

  • You're shit at WASD controls and I hope you never figure out how to use it.

  • That's right, "I hope you never figure out how to use it"

  • "WASD" that is

  • And you're shit at spelling and flaming.

  • you were 11 when xbox came out? you sound like you were 11 when snes came out...

  • I sound older than I am =)

  • are you using crossover games or what???

  • oops sorry i'm stupid, yes you are and you say it in the intro!! :(

  • all steam games work but you have to get a cider port to it lol that what i did

  • does half life 2 work on the mini or all other steam games

  • It's the same game engine as CS:S, I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

  • like the idea

  • I like the idea you should make a channel just for Mac gaming. I would subscribe to it.

How do you think this would run on a 2.4GHz White Macbook?

  • You'd probably get 100+ fps.

  • A lot better then my currant laptop. My mate reckons I would get 60+ but I think more 70 or maybe 80+ on this.

Thx and you should definitely make that Mac Gaming Channel and transfer all your gaming vids to it.

  • Yeah I run TF2 and Gmod on a black macbook and it gets 40+ fps

  • yes you games for mac wood bee cool
