  • @yourhollisterbabe123 This is probably VERY late, but to really reduce the fat in your thighs you have to do cardio as well as exercise your thigh specifically.

  • @yourhollisterbabe123 you cant lose fat in just one area by doing exercise, your whole body feels the benefit because your muscles get bigger and use more fat reserves, making you thinner :)

  • @mariecalie Girls do it to guys too, it's only certain kinds of people. But I do agree, you get a guy, or in my case a girl, that only cares about hotness and you're never able to believe anyone again if they really just like you for you. Girls, don't think that it's only a guy thing because girls do it to us too.

  • @mariecalie don't worry about the guys, I was the same way with my ex and I finally learned that I have to be healthy and look good for me. Don't worry you'll be fine.

  • @mariecalie Kind of like PancakeMastr is saying, it is up to you what you feel is the best way to attract your man. The pressure isn't only directed towards women though. There are just as many fat/skinny guys as there are fat/skinny girls. I can tell you right now that most guys in the gym aren't all planning on being body builders. Some for instance, like alot of girls, are trying to stay healthy, or fit. The majority though, feel that muscle is key to a hot girl. The pressure goes both ways.

I walk 5 miles a day, also do weight-training and lost 50 lbs in the process but I found that while the rest of my body is slimming down faster, my inner thighs, lower ab and upper arms are a bit slower in losing those inches!!   • @mariecalie : Just as Kasetizell says. It all comes down to what you think about yourself. Guys dont supply the pressure, its just manifests in your own head which gets you paranoid enough to feel insecure. Guys will always be pervs, but that doesnt mean you have to pressure yourself to look "hot". I personally find girls more attractive when they don't try so hard to look good.

  • @FaridaLapidze im no expert, but the work out should burn the fat and help you get a little more muscle.. But if you are an adult, you cant "make" more muscle. you can tone the muscle fibers you have tho.

    & dont try any "diet plans" they wont help you tone muscle. Whey protein shakes would help. Whey has lotsof antioxidants which is good. Multiply your weight Xs 11 and only eat that many calories. If you take 100 or so calories off that total then thats good for losing weight. 1g fat=9calories

  • @sillystring200 hahaha ur so right about the not losing weight thing, this is toning, and muscle weighs more than fat....so that number on the scale is not going to be going down

    however...you are wrong about the skinny jeans thing

    the muscle will probably not grow from a mild workout...just be more defined..and the muscle will be stronger

    you will also burn some fat in that area!

  • @ChelseyKristyBABES NO It doesn't work I just did this and I didn't feel anything in my thighs or inner thighs AT ALL. All I felt was a tiny pull in my lower abdominals. I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds and I'm not bone thin but no where near fat, I just want my thighs to be smaller, but trust me this does not work.

  • @EllenKaulitz10 Unless you're doing cardio and dieting you'd lose zero. This exercise will help you tone but don't have it be the only exercise you're doing. Also, you don't want to do this exercise for 30 minutes a day...you'll be too sore to do any exercising for several days after that. It's quality over quantity.

  • I do I have worked with expensive trainers and bought every piece of exercise equipment out there. I feel "the burn" and I love that feeling. I know some people hate feeling that burn but I love it. I am not overweight I am just not toned. I am not "lying to myself." I run everyday for an hour, go to the gym 4-5 times a week for 2 hours (with my trainer) The doctor has given me prescriptions and all kinds of stuff. I have Been trying to get toned for 6 1/2 years now.

  • look at what you eat

  • Just a heads up people spot reductions are a myth you can't target a specific area and burn fat there because of it

  • uum how many do you do? how come in every workout video they never say how many to do or for how long?

  • they dont tell you how many to do/ for how long beacuse they are not "strength" exercises, they are more or less conditioning. so the sets/reps vary for each person

  • tomsega - I'm sorry but I disagree with you. Have you ever done Pilates? I don't think so. I do it regularly and I can tell you first hand that it takes a lot of strength !!! As a former body builder, i do know what I'm talking about. I prefer Pilates cause I have long, lean muscles now instead of the bulk that the machines give you. And - trust me . . . Pilates is NOT for a midlife crisis - you should try it some time - then post your opinion.

  • I'm sure you're right, but I don't just mean to attack pilates per se. I'd try it myself. The point I'm making is that a lot of women are falsely advised to work too far within their comfort zone in general. You say yourself you used to be a former body builder - I doubt someone who was out of shape to begin with would see economical results doing only that. Everyone already has abs hiding away - getting them to show is a matter of low body fat and thus cardio. Yogo etc should be supplimentary.

    Yoga and pilates when done properly and consistently (not just in the one hour class once a week) do in fact give amazing results. These forms of exercise help to tone the body, and when forced to hold these positions for a long time actually do succeed in burning calories. As others have said, people have different body types that have different needs. so please, don't insult one form of exercise just because it didn't work for you.

  • Some women prefer pilates and gyms over playing sports. People should STOP LISTENING TO OTHERS, and find what works best for THEM because everyone is different, and everyone likes different activites. Also, listening to what others say rather than what your body and comforts tell you, can also lead to giving up. If girls are told that the ONLY way to do something, is a way they don't like, they generally just say "forget it". If sports work for you, great, but it doesn't work for ALL women.

  • The gym is fine, and when I say sports I include solitary cycling or swimming, etc. What I hate to see is women aged 18-39 doing only pilates, an exercise which, if someone only 'does exercise' for an hour a week, is a waste of time. Flexibility is a useful add-on but burning calories is of the most importance. As I say, toning should be treated as a patronising myth aimed at those women who really should be enjoying more fruitful forms of work out.

  • Yoga/Pilates will help toning lean muscles, while regular strength training can bulk up. If you think you have too much thigh muscles and wanna make them smaller, you probably want to cut back on whatever you've been doing to make them big. I'd had same problem so I stopped doing heavy effort exercise on legs.

  • go jogging 3 times a week, youll see results in a month.

  • well basicaly you are working the muscle so it will make the muscle bigger, the exercise wil help you to lose weight though (to a certain extent) however your thighs will be more toned, firmer aas opposed to bags of lard.

  • It won't. It increases muscle. Instead it will actually make your thighs bigger. If you're fat then you need to lose body fat first, so the muscle will show, thus giving you sexy thighs. Do cardio.

  • I had the same problem. What you can do is sit in butterfly position and apply pressure to your inner thighs for 10 seconds and then release. Do about six reps. Or again sit in butterfly position and slowly bring your feet towards your body. I do that about 50-60 times. Within two weeks I noticed that my inner thighs were getting smaller but I still had my muscle. The exercises are really simple and instead of just watching tv you can do them in-between commercials.   • the burn you feel is small amounts of torn muscle fiber which repairs itself and becomes more dense after a short period(a few days) of resting that muscle.the weightloss is normally in your cardio or aroebic exercises. This may cause less fatty tissue in that area but if you want to lose weight walking jogging biking or jumproping are your best bet. It will effect a number of areas. you cant really target weightloss in a specific region. the world just isnt fair in the retrospect.

  • kk thnks but i used to be in cross crountry and it was still kinda fatty there but not as much as now. i do martial arts now but it doesnt help extremely well

  • this is what my personal trainer told me when i told him i wanted nicer thighs (specifically upper inner thigh as well):

    you can't spot train. the muscle work that you do will raise your metabolism. it is best to do a 10 minute cardio warm up (like treadmill or whatever you like) and then do weight lifting, then go back for as much cardio as you want. this one is the weight lifting sort of exercise as it uses resistance to tone muscles. to get nicer thighs you must lower your overall body fat.

  • the inner thigh is pretty much one big muscle so it should work it. it just might take longer to notice it in the smaller area than the larger spread of the muscle
