  • im trying to find judo classes to go along with my shotokan but i cant find any in my town and we cant go over to another one for classes

  • @weirdjack882hi thats odd..almost every town ive seen has a judo club or class if you know how to look for it

  • ooh so i have to break his balance first..i learn tkd but when i tried the sweep at my partner's legs, i ended up kicking too higher than the side of the foot and couldn't make him fall...

  • haha the guy in blue at the start actually smile lol it always looks like that he is going to kill so;eone

  • why me?

i did this once , but the result is the other way around . . .

  • wow did he say deashi barai?

  • before video

    me: please no add

    add pops up

    me:FUCK YOU YOUTUBE

  • @trehuff141 Well said!!!!!!!!

  • hey!! i lie this vid. it can help me for self ddefense or for kicking a dudes ass...

  • @jarvisarena noooo violence isn't the answer!!!

  • @lamichael19 tell that to someone who wants to do harm to you :)

if your a girl i hope your boyfriend protects you...if your a guy i hope you learn how to defend your family

  • @wyvren1990 Wait ... hes trying to attack you, you should tell someone. And that makes more sense, but i dont think a couple of vids would help, you should prob do some training. lol

  • @lamichael19 annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd you lost me..............

  • if u have a fight with someone in judo and they throw u good, u would be in a lot of pain, baffles me how some numpties think of judo as a weak way of fighting, we have so many moves for every kind of opponent that we could handle anyone, 90% of fights end up in people grappling, when that happens the judoka has the best chance of winning

  • i did it to both of my friends one at a time...

  • Very effective, but easy move. Nice!

  • first i got to push him back for a lil bet to weaken him from his forward leg so i can easily sweep his leg and then boom!! he falls :)

  • The Judo black belt on the right has big feet.

  • He also forgot to say if when u are doing that they hold on slam down with a curve.

  • he forgot to point out that if you are practicing this with someone, when you get thrown down, slam your left arm out.

  • what the fuck ???

  • judo or bjj ??good??

  • @gggamer12 Depends do you want to throw people viciously but at the same time find control, looseness, and strength without muscling someone(Usually cheaper than BJJ).

OR do you want to roll on the ground and submit people, remember people who do BJJ are usually punks in my opinion, They just want to do BJJ to hurt people because it's been popularize by MMA and the Gracies as a form of violence not self-defence.

If your in highschool I recommend Wrestling, its the best. I wrestle varsity.

  • @gggamer12

    judo :)

  • i have done judo for 42 years along the way ju jitsu /street systems/kick boxing and a few others and if you done any of these sports you would

respect all fighting sports and if you say getting thrown don't hurt then you have never trained at any club i have trained at.

  • very instructive video

  • Judo has plenty of submission holds; mostly locks and strangles. An experienced judoka can hold his/her own on the ground easily.

  • Need to talk about timing - sweeping just before weight is shifted to the leading foot. Need to mention cupping your foot and sweeping below the ankle. Need to teach throws moving not static - even to beginners. Need to break it down to kuzushi/tsukuri/kake. Need to discuss greater exposure of uke's foot when he is moving backwards, rather than stepping forward.

  • OHHHHHHH!! sweep his front leg I WUD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OV THATTT! thx guys.

  • nice almost doesn't matter. i took down my older brother and hes about 40 centimeters higher than me. you just stand like a dork and look up at the person. i felt it like that

  • i do bjj and muay thai, i guess this can help me better

  • muay thai is awesome but as for bjj(i'm really afriad for that stuff because of the whole on the ground factor if you have some free time please tell me how to stay off the ground?

  • sprawl n brawl baby

  • what do you mean?

  • bjj or jj focuz on takeing the fight to the ground and I have no idea on how to fightt on the ground

  • 98% of fights go to the ground and brazilian jiu-jutsu is the best for the ground, but if you don't like it learn wrestling.

  • my friend , would judo help considering I know little(very little) Aikido seems to work best for me and tai chi

  • judo would help you learn throws and take downs, but if you wish to learn how to take advantage of and how to fight on the ground you should train B.j.j.

  • judo and ju jitsu on the ground ......same judo is taken from ju jitsu

  • but no matter how much stand up you know if he does take you down you would be screwed without that training. if you wish to not get on the ground go to tournaments with no ground game regulations, which would take a miracle to find.

  • I guess but isn't judo better teh nbjj?(dun giv me thumbs up i don't know)

  • well the answer to that question would be an opinion no matter who answered it, to me bjj is better, but to someone else judo might be better.

  • @Rohan4basu - almost anything would be better than the two 'martial arts' you are currently studying. They have very little practical application, despite what the teacher/senior students/cult members tell you. Aikido, Tai Chi and Wing Chun are the holy trinity of useless.

  • When wing chun is applied to full contact sparring it's actually not very bad, they have some legit concepts that Chinese MMA fighters even use. And Taichi is more of a excersise... No one in China thinks they can fight with it... haha And aikido has some good moves, just trained really bad. I mean twisting someones wrist the wrong way hurts, and the locks they do cause you to be unable to use your muscle cause your arm is locked up. They just need to use other stuff not ONLY reversals...

  • Brazilian jiu-jutsu is great for ground fighting 1 v 1. But as soon as he has one or two friends, and your roling around on the ground, there just gonna come in and kick you in the head. People never attack alone anymore.

  • Yes, If you train in anything long enough you can use it well in any situation i guess. I can see where you are coming from with the flying armbar and then engage the second guy. Just as with judo you cound throw them onto the concrete and smash there spine. I'm pretty sure that would stop them as well.

    Peace to you.

  • @dinoiscoolio1 LOL, wow yes, because you can get that one guy and brake his arm before the other guy brakes your face. it is very unpractical. with judo, one good flip can knock the wind out of him, leaving him unable to fight, for a little while anyways.

  • Yeah, judo and aikido both have several throws, but I HAVE BEEN THROWN WITH JUDO THROWS AND AIKIDO THROWS, THEY DO NOT HURT OR BREAK THE WIND OUT OF YOU.

  • thats only if you know how to fall. an inexperienced person to judo throws wont know how to fall, thus leaving him hurt.

  • @dinoiscoolio1 Were you thrown onto concrete? Did the person want to hurt you?

  • If you fall correctly no they don't hurt

  • @dinoiscoolio1 - absolute nonsense. Being thrown by even a half-competent judo player is painful and debilitating. you ar elying, or you've never been thrown properly. Voted down.

  • @FightersOnlyMagazine Yes, and being thrown by someone who knows how to throw is painful the the following three days after you have been too.

  • @dinoiscoolio1 hahaha, you dont practice bjj do you?

  • its simple, for self defence 1 on 1 a grappling art would probably be better but if its you vs say 3 guys then a striking one would be better, striking ones can work just as well as grappling when its 1 vs 1

  • No best thing is run. Striking against 3 guys is no safer than throwing them.

  • jezus als je judo weelt leren dan ga je toch op judo

  • when you do the sweep, you are supposed to keep your pinky toes on the matt and point your feet in that direction of which way you want the leg to go causing the throw to work.

  • miami is the face of all martial arts. you could find anything here.

  • why are you supposing that it only works if the guy holds onto Tori's shoulder? You can do it perfectly without the use of your hands. It's just a demonstration for beginners. :S

  • yea lol, nubs in youtube cant ready the title.. FOR BEGINNERS, lol

  • Judo is first and foremost a sport......and Aersus is right, it can also be used outside the clinch

And the most common things someone wud do to u in a street fight, or if theyre drunk, is grab u by the shirt and yell in ur face

  • no. judo is first and foremost a lethal and effective martial art. but the second half of what your saying is correct, the most common things that aggressors do in the leadup to a fight is grap you by the shirt with either one of both hands and try to push you or something equally as easy to deal with with judo training.

  • Also, it's easy to punch someone in the face after you put them on their back.

  • It's also easy for them to submit you if they know even a little bjj.

  • 90% of the time, if you're in a fight with someone who has no formal training, their first intstinct is to "push" you at your torso. When that happens, this technique can and should be employed. It has NOTHING to do with ANYONE being gay. God, grow the fuck up!

  • agreed

  • @billthesoftballguy It's so gay man.....until your crying and begging for the person for mercy

  • thats a joke, right?

  • I bet they wouldn't be half as gay as a guy who calls himself "GundamFor3ver".

  • amen brother

  • thanks, great help.

  • i took judo and learned this already, yes he did that ok

  • Hey Madklown06 why do you have to be such an ass hole??? If you are such a bad ass and this guy is doing such a bad job why don't you show us proper technique in your videos. Post up a bunch of instructional videos if this guy is doign such a horrible job. You are just a hater. That's all. You need a hug really bad.

  • This was the first "real" thing I learnt at judo when I was a 6 or 7 years old girl (except from falling down in a safe way, backwards fall).

My trainer called it the "Feger" (German word for sweep). The "balance thing" is shown really well here.

  • This move is never good for me. I am like the UchiMata, and Osoto Gari, Osoto Gari is many the basic move, but is many useful because is so many effective. I am creat my own kife defence and is use Osoto Gari =D

I learnd other part from watching my boyfriends Krav Maga, Krav Maga is most amazing thing I am ever see!!! You all need looking the Krav Maga videos on youtube also!

  • the only thing is dat its practice so in real life its harder

  • awsome now i can beat some kids that always try to fight with me after school

just gotta practice lifting more heavy stuff cuz of this realllly fat kid whos impossble to move a inch + he swings like kingkong

  • If you're serious about your self defence, and you arent getting attacked because of you provoking someone-if you are, just don't pick on the fat kid- when he "swings like king kong- step inside of him and swing. duck on him, keep your hands up, and move alot. if possible, get away though. the best fights are the ones that don't happen.

  • than you should learn MMA or just take a baseball bat with you in the school

  • eh ahi rapaz!! Seriamente alguem esta-te enxendo o saco na escola? Vc ta ja na universidade? Eu levei muita porrada nos promeiros nove anos de escola. IT SUCKED!! Em que parte do Brasil vc ta? Vc sabe quem o Jelly Bean? Procura videos dele. Eh um gordao que faz box. Tenha cuidado tem muito gordinho que eh foda na luta

  • Excellent lessons Richard many thanks to you and expert village.

  • thanx for these clips i saw all your helpfull clips im new to judo and saw tired of being deaten :P thanx again

  • cool:) also usefull for karate competitions..only there you can't grap someonde you just have to sweep them

  • Thanks a lot! This is greatly explained. I'm new to BJJ, and this helps me out branch out to more than just the singles and doubles.
