Well, I'm disappointed to find that she lied in the previous video. She was argumentative, and wouldn't back off physically. I generally back the deputy on this one. In most states, signing a traffic citation works like an O.R.bond - by signing it, you are giving a written promise to appear in court in exchange for your immediate release. If you don't give that promise, you can be arrested and held until your arraignment. In some states the refusal to sign a traffic citation lawfully issued is a misdemeanor offense in itself that you can be arrested for.

Well, I'm disappointed to find that she lied in the previous video. She was argumentative, and wouldn't back off physically. I generally back the deputy on this one. The only question I have is why he answered her challenge to arrest her, which started the physical confrontation. I don't think that signature is required. He should have just given her the ticket and told her to be on her way.

Plus there are other dangers when an officer fights with a suspect such as the suspect pulling a weapon or pulling the officer's weapon.
