well im not too good but the basic meaning is that God will to people in what ever form they choose to believe in. To a Vishnavite He appears as Vishnu and to a person who worships Shiva he would appare as Shiva but in the end theyre all the same God. And also that He can only appear to a person having as much power as they believe he has. So if you believe He can lift mountains He will be able to but if you believe that He doesnt exist then He will never grace you.

It is because Subbulaxshmi mata that me Sri Vaishnava and brought me to Sri Venkateshwara! I use to listen to Her Venkatesha Subrabatam very morning when I was with I.S.K.O.N ashram in L.A. when I was new bhakta. I learned alot about how to intone Sanskrit mantras from Her.
