Thank you! I love Amber, my ex battery hen. She is so loving and follows me around. The silkie is also a bantam style and she does just fine during the winter days. At night they all go into thier insulated hen house. Oddly, I think 1 crossbred black rock/ rhode island red has arthritis in 1 leg, but if there is snow on the ground or she seems to be limping, I bring her in for the day and have a large dog crate for her.
