Nice revisionist history by the Republic/Bioware.

The True Sith orchestrated the Mandalorian War not just to hurt the Republic physically but also psychologically.

The war revealed the hypocrisy within the Republic when worlds far away from the conflict were so slow to respond to the plight of the Rim worlds conquered by the Mandalorians. As a result the preexisting animosity and distrust within Republic was deepened. The longer the war went, more people lost faith in the Republic.

That was also why Revan sacrificed himself to the dark side. He needed to unite the galaxy against the True Sith.

He was trying to unite the entire Republic in the conflict. Revan believed that through the war he waged, the Republic and the Jedi would have their beliefs reaffirmed once more through the struggle, and grow stronger, wiser, and more united from the conflict. If the Republic and Jedi could not rally then the galaxy would still be united, under Revan's banner.

Mandalorians did not use light sabers, they actually used metal. Compare the Mandalorians weapons, they actually used metal(bullets), while Sith was just laser. This is why Mandalorian was the bloodiest.

@hulkmeister23 It was a last resort to stop the mandalorian threat. Canon-wise, The Exile regrets using it, and undoes it at the end of KOTOR2... Non-Canon wise, The exile has no regrets and leaves the massive shadown generator intact while taking over Trayus Academy. When she used it to stop the mandalorians, those she bonded with, her allies that died sent a wound in the force, developed from her force inspiration. It's truly an amazing story that Bioware is sweeping under the rug with TOR.

the jedi are complete Hippocrates, they claim to want 2 protect the republic but when an army of bad asses shows up and decided to destroy it, just so they can fight the jedi, the Jedi decide thens a good time to hold out. The mandaloriens weren't gonna stop just because the jedi they wanted 2 fight weren't showing up, they keep attacking until the Jedi had 2, in fact the jedi made things worse

Revan went back to space, destroyed 3/4 of the sith armada and kicked some serious ass. Thats how it went down.  Thats why the republic eventually won. Because revan went to the real sith empire shot him in the back and watched him die. Just like John Wayne would have done. I love revan with a passion :S

1. shows the split faction between the Ancient Sith Lords and the Emperor of the Sith Empire. Bioware never puts something in here unless it has something to do with the game.

2. Exar kun story drops hints at possible raids boss and planets, also a possible decision those on the Sith side have to choose. To ally with the Old Ancient Sith Lords or to remain loyal the Emperor.

@repoman182 The canonical way is that Revan was a male and the Jedi Exile was female. They didn't know how Revan fell, so they didn't mention the emperor. He went for them after Kotor. But he just said it was a threat. He didn't return. So nobody really knew what happened.
