@MAHA673TFM im not sure. If you have the particle view with max 9 then I would say it will work. I have only used max 2010 and 2011 so that's all I am familiar with, and out of those two I have only been playing with particle systems with max 2011. I would say download and try it out, if it doesn't work the worst that could happen is max crashes on that try. It if doesn't work, let me know and I can try and do a tutorial on how to do the effect without the script.
@MyMadMonster I have currently tried 3ds 2010,11 & 12 and it doesnt seem to work on any of them , but I must say its an impressive effect and it would be nice if you could create the tutorial for doing the same effect without the script.
@SonicXtr3me I'm not sure what issue you are having. I just went to script spot and downloaded the script and tested it on my pc and it worked fine. I am using Max 2011. If you are looking for some tutorials you can check out Allan McKay, he has some really good tutorials using everything from particle systems to fumefx.
@TheWalrus109 Open up the particle view by pressing 6 on your keyboard. Once in the particle view window click on the "Position Object" in the Main Event Node. This should show a drop down menu on the right. Now just click the check box for "Lock on Emitter". Now the particles should be locked on to the object while it moves.
This script can be downloaded from script spot. Just head to that site and search for "the cave mans dream". You tube will not let me place the link in the description, so sorry for the extra steps.

Is there a way to track the movement of the burning object? I'm animating a match & the flames will not follow.
Thanx
