  • Chase might just be the coolest living person on the planet right now.

  • inspiring - you already know you rock, so no need to mention that

  • Well, I have a D3100. Pretty nice camcorder, but you have little to no control in the video mode...thats why I ordered the D7000, you can control in what ISO and f-stop you are filming c: Also, I find it a little bit...hmm. Fake, when you are promoting a D7000 only with proffesional stabelizers, awesome -expensive- lenses, to show off the 'quality' of a DSRL camera. Better buy a normal camcorder with expensive lenses and cranes and everything D: But I have to say, the video is well made! Nice!

  • Os Muleke tão Lombrado - Camcorder Nikon D7000 Full Hd 1080p,

in 16.2Mp - Excellent camcorder of Nikon. by Gibesom. Brazil (2011).

  • Can someone explain me why the news still uses those big ass cameras?

  • @pilebaina DSLRs can't record continuously for very long.

  • @pilebaina They offer alot more control and much better video quality.

  • they are absolutely living the dream

  • IS ALL THE VIDEO WE'RE SEEING DONE ON THE D7000, OR JUST SNIPPETS?

  • I'd like to know what lenses were used to make this film.

  • what kind of stability devices did you use to shoot this film? I saw some kind of shoulder strap stabilizer? If you could send me a message or comment back with what it is and possibly a link of where you got it that would be fantastic!

  • Im trying to be shoot decent vdeos but nothing like this. Please go to y page check out my vids and gve me tips PLEASEE!

  • Is this whole video really shot with the D7000? and did you add an extra lens or something to get it as perfect as it is, or if i go buy it right now would it look like this?

  • i want the D7000 soo bad, but gerr money. $700 short.

  • @bryanmichaeldavis i know they said 'experimental', but this is taking the piss...

  • I have a D3100 and have spent money on lenses (the 16-85VR, 70-300VR, and 35/1.8) rather than going for the D7000 with cheaper lenses. But if my D3100 breaks down, or when I feel too limited by it, I might go buy a D7000.

As a newbie/hobbyist, an entry-level DSLR is enough to get started. It's all down to what you want to do: play around with new technology, or learn basic photography/composition, or advanced techniques, or simply get high-quality vacation memories. Or some combination of those.

  • @0debug

Aye good glass can make an entry DSLR sing like nothing else. Buying some decent glass really allows you to get shots that else you simply can't. Now kit lenses are not terrible but to say they are good.. no!

Not to mention entry level DSLR"s tend to have sensors that are pretty equal to higher level ones. The difference? Burst Speed, Buffer Sizes.. weathersealing. That is what you pay for with higher models.

  • 2:48 hell yea, Jackie Chan.

  • the dude is a fucking genius

  • got one this summer, absolutely LOVE it =)

  • Love your style.

  • Damn epic vid! Great camera! I just have $1,100 more to save! =P

  • Where was this taken?

  • @bryanmichaeldavis says he loves connect engineering...?

  • i want your life....great freinds, roaming america, testing nikons new gear!XD your too lucky!

  • i paused each picture and then freaked out over each one...

  • Just so u know, that short film was why I bought the camera

  • Got mine yesterday and I love it!

  • @LasstUnsSpielen Hey I might be getting mine like soon.. as in tomorrow maybe. If they have them in stock. How do you like the audio with the built in mic? Is it worth it to get an external mic for it? Please get back to me as soon as you can! Also let me know the pros in cons if you can :)

  • @EchoOwl16 Hey! If you going to film your family or just want some memories then put the internal mic to lowest sensitivity and your ok. But if you want more then that its definitly worth to buy an external mic. The original Nikon is good enough but if you want better quality I recommend the Zoom h2. Just search here on YouTube for some samples and the decision will be easier. :) Hope you will have a lot of fun with your new d7000 :)

  • Canon HD movie is much better.

  • @lizards821 I know but who gives a fuck, the prime purpose of a dslr is taking photos.

  • omg great pictures !

  • What lens did you guys use?

  • josha trees!!! love that place!!!

  • Woah... so THIS is where all the example shots on Nikon's website and D7000 brochure came from! That's awesome.

  • what kinda lens were used to make this video?????

  • beautiful! really?! everything! The videos, the pictures, lovely!

  • Been wanting this camera for a year. So I saved my gigging money I get as a drummer in a band and just yesterday got the body and kit lens. Can't wait to get out there and create with it. Big step up from my 10 year old Fuji S2. And Canon G11. The world of video is all new to me. Must learn. Been following Chase's blog for a year. Cool, informative, guy.

  • LoL!! If U R in the freaking desert with bright-azz light, & got $30,000 in fancy lenses & steadycam bla bla, U can make as good a flick with a $50 Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 off Fleabay =) I know I got 1 & the raw HD off it is obscene. Even the SD is nice, but I haven't figured out how 2 fix the gamma curve 4 U-Boob uploading, etc =( U-Boob compression mangles it all 2 $hit.

  • Thanks for the great demo. I liked the D7000 enough to buy one and now would like to get a helicopter large enough to bolt it on. Can you tell me what model you used in this video? I only have the eSky Honey Bee CT that will probably only work for lightweight video cams under a pound. Thank You!

  • YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! WISH I WAS IN YOUR CREW SO MUCH FUUUUUUUUUUUN

  • i like it

  • Awesome camera!!! Guys there is stunning deal ($1099.00) on amazon for D7000 check this

  • Quiero esta Cameraaa!!!!

  • getting this camera in january/february!

I have the D3100 and love it, but this is the next step after I have bought my own homestudio light stuff!

  • Man I got a visual orgasm seeing this. I loved the D7000.

  • what camera was used to make this film? nikon d7000 with video mode?

  • D7000 does 24fps in 1080p

  • lame work

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful! I just got this camera today and didn't even know till last minute that it had a video shooting mode! Now I'm even more excited =)

  • Great film showing what can you get out of your ~1100$ camera with just having some additional accessories worth, let's say, 25'000$ - 30'000$ :D

  • @pwinowski totally agree. In fact, the camera is probably the weakest link in the chain when it comes to this video. You could make the exact same thing with a D3100. The quality of this movie is from the Steadicam mount, sliders, track rigging, tens of thousands in lenses (I saw at least one of the fixed 2.8 teles), and Nikon's advertising budget allowing Chase and friends to play all day in perfect natural light.

  • OH MY GAWD BIG WHEELS

  • WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

    Believer - Viva Voce

  • Gw juga pake d7000

  • Man i really love the way you produce your videos,d7000 rock.Great film, great friends and a wicked mystery machine .

  • Nice vid man! I too love my d7000.

If any of you guys wanna check out my vids on my d7000 and other related vids, be my guest :)

  • please tell me song name on 2:22 and last song name. and classic music name anybody

  • Nice all round dudes, love the piccies / subject matter at the end.

  • Well Evan the Cheapest Nikon would be REALLY amazing with those Lens' that cost Tens of Thousands of Dollars. :) STILL the D7000 is still pretty freaking amazing!

  • Was this all shot on the Nikon D7000? That's what I wanna know. If so, it's a damn good ad for Nikon. Looks amazing, and I hope they're paying you. (Would love to know how much of this was color corrected in post)

  • Song at 1:24 is Sera Cahoone- You might as well :)

  • this video came out with such clarity....what kind of lens and setting did you use? this is crisp and the colors...man I'm excited

  • this is a great camera and fair price at under 2 grand cant beat it... Chase you are the man!!!

  • This camera seems worth $1500 imo.

  • nikon and canon were both made by a mad scientist in a village hundreds of years ago and each brand was given to specific villages and so the war of the nikonians and the canon people (couldn't come up with a shitty name for canon cause canonians would sounds retarded but then again that is the whole point of this comment) so anyway, they started shooting each other and noticed they were getting really blurry images &then it came to be known as the great mystery of we dont care which brand it is

  • no squerkid, the song till 1:29

  • What lens was on this

  • "This is a serious camera!" "It has 16 megapickles and 1080 video"

Ugh...the D7000 IS a serious camera, but not because of those stupid numbers.

  • @Pipboy989 Megapickles!!!! lol

  • @Pipboy989 megapiXles*

  • @TheHorrorBeast

Thank you captain obvious for correcting my intentional error. I always thought there were tiny magical pickles inside each camera, painting each photo as you took it.

  • @Pipboy989 no problem.

  • @Pipboy989 MEGA PICKLES, WIN.

  • @Pipboy989 I suppose it's better than "This is a serious camera, it has *laundry list of technical mumbo jumbo names*!" He's making an attempt to quantify the ability of the camera as simply as possible, I'd like to see you do better.

  • what song at 4:20?

  • Gime me some cash and a toy helecopter and I would shoot some killer vids....lol

  • amazing video! was it all really shot with D7000?? If so - I buy it...

  • song at 1.29 ????

  • @saidknee1990

I think it is the Steadicam Merlin.

  • Comment removed

  • @saidknee1990 Yes, the D7000 has a stereo mini jack and can record in stereo. It also allows for 3 sound level settings rather then just the auto gain settings of most cameras. So far I have been pleased with the results so far. Even with the ability to set sound levels, you still have the constrain of not being able to monitor the sound while record with an external box of some sort.

  • Hey :)! I wanna know who sings the first song and what is its title? Is somebody know that? Thanks :)

  • Where can I buy that kind of Steady? 1:57

  • @JIKace at your local camera store orr... you can go online and have a hunt... they have some pretty decent stuff for cheap come out of Asia.. so have a look on ebay.... but mind you that even the "cheap" stuff from asia isn't really that cheap for steadicams

  • @saidknee1990 a batter grip you mean?

  • what is the first music?

  • @saidknee1990 i believe that that's is a manfrotto model steadycam.

  • What is the name of the RC helicopter you used ?

  • I think some people probably hate it not because they're Nikon haters, but because you have to sit through a lot of overproduced and gimmicky presentation.

  • Well done. This tipped my decision ... bought the camera. Good decision on the part on Nikon to use you. I was worried about video quality from other reviews. This put those fears to rest. Nice work.

  • Any news on the Nikon D4 yet?

  • dislike button is the same size as justin biebers dick

  • @saidknee1990

pretty sure its a steady cam :) maybe not lol

  • @eriveraxc Yep Steadicam, just not sure what brand

  • I love this camera. I just finished a video from Perito Moreno Glacier in Pategonia and it captured it beautifully. Quite steady hand held with a wide angle lens too!

  • is this really with the standard lens ?

  • camera $600

    Lens $5000

  • @Kevin2134

    Canon = Nikon

ALL SAME THING! I don't get it... I started out as Nikon user, switched to Canon, then came but because I missed the Nikon controls too much but Canon is one heck of a camera company as well... they both have pros and cons and thats what makes each other in a good way or the other.

  • i seriously do not get the hate between canon and Nikon... i've been crossing over from Nikon to canon... canon to Nikon all the time....... really its the videographer or photographer that makes good photos...... the camera just helps you create the cool photos.... some can do it better.. but these days they're pretty much neck to neck...

  • Just bought the D7000 and had no idea it could do shit like this!

  • @BlandyAl is this all shot on the Nikon D7000? I worked on a commercial for Microsoft and we used Final Cut Pro to edit it. I'm just saying...

  • hahahahahahahah i gotta get this camera

  • As a D7000 owner, and someone who has watched a lot of serious rather than "arty" reviews of the camera, I am super-sceptical that all of the video for this film was shot on the D7000. All DSLRs are pretty rubbish as video cameras because the lenses are not designed for that function and don't have good depth of field video capabilities. The AF system is constantly and noisily fighting to keep the subject in focus in the real world, yet in this movie it is flawless? I don't buy it.

  • @alawackbar1 as someone who just bought a D7000 2 weeks ago and spent all last week filming with it, I can assure you this camera is capable of what's in the video. Granted I can't make it all happen myself, but it's because I am new, not the camera. With the right lens you can easily do it all. The depth of field is easy to achieve with the right Fstop (set and locked of course) and with the AF off in manual mode. A solid videographer would only use manual focus for video like this, not AF.

  • @alawackbar1 the plot thickens. If they shot this thing on a Canon 5D, which I suspect, it's pretty damn disingenuous.

  • @alawackbar1 They are using manual focus, and external mic. That's why the focus in this video is great, and why you can't hear any focus noise.

And you can control your depth of field on a dslr.. I really don't get what you're on about here mate...

  • @saidknee1990 Merlin Steadicam

  • What's that for a "pod" at 1:57?

  • was this all recorded with the Nikon D7000?

  • was all this video filmed on the D7000? i have just bought one to take photos with, but the video looks amazing,, great vid ;-)

  • @shamtheman yup. check out his blog, website, and facebook. lots of great tips, information, and access to great photography.

  • GOOD JOB

  • @saidknee1990 It's called a Merlin Steadicam, I'm pretty sure that's what that was, but those "dslr holders" are called steadicams and the Glidecam HD-2000 is on my NEED TO GET list for this summer lol

  • I have to buy a new camera is better D90 or D7000? thanx

  • @lordduke88

The D7000 is the successor to the D90 and is a better camera.

  • @DCuerpoJr thx you!

  • @DCuerpoJr

D7000 was actually replacing the D300s; if it were a successor to the D90, the D90 would have been discontinued.

  • @DCuerpoJr i have a D7000 and i can tell you that it KEEPS on impressing me....this is NOT a redo of the D90 .....this is a new animal all together!...i just LOVE LOVE my camera!

  • i would love to know what cameras where used to film this video

  • @Estebanfuturo

According to Chase's website the Nikon D7000 was used for all the videos and photos in this clip.

  • I just had a cameragasm. I wanted the D7k for ages, now I want it more.

  • Is the d7000 being used to shoot this video too??? I'm on craigslist about to sell my nikon and upgrade to this beauty!!! haahah

  • holly shit i love your style of photography, the light is perfecct

    great video dude

  • @saidknee1990 DID U FIND OUT?? COS I WANT ONE TOO

  • Woaw, loads of post-production image stabilization here! Not good!

  • so was this whole video shot on the d7000?

  • @aayushk the silence is deafening. Can't get an answer.

  • @jahmbo i ended up getting the d90. works out just perfect for me and it too takes amazing videos and the sound aint too bad either.
