I play alot of Bon Jovi, and I find that on my marshall valve if I lower the mids to about 3.5 I get a good 80's Sambora tone with only the other effects been a BOSS SD-1, moderate presence and generous reverb.

nice .... just got my Blackstar ht 60 watt stage venue series .... nice cleans and grimy toneful Od ! no pedals but my wah crybaby ... blues n classic rock def sound great on this beast , still forming a metal shape but , need a couple pedals to get it just right !

step 2 learn to not use a chorus flanger delay and reverb to seem that you sound cool :D

you've got hum when you increase the gain level because your guitar suck, and maybe these chinese made orange replica sucks too...

This is actually quite informative. But in my opinion, which kinda both agrees and disagrees, mid is very important (esp when playing with a band), always make sure you have enough, unless you don't wanna get heard

Very true the tone in all types of guitar styles needs a great hook up I'm using a line6 spider 3 15watt and it sound heavy but limited I've just got a guitar issue think the pick ups faulty as all my guitar sounds are gritty and spiny I'm looking for the 5 Finger death punch sound please help. Expensive amps can sound like crap, and cheap amps can sound great. It's really a matter of your hands and your ears. I've squeezed great tones out of a Crate and bad tones out of an Orange AD30, and vice versa. 'Good tone' is rather subjective.

A obvious thing to do, go get that gain problem solved. Is to either use your guitar volume and tone knobs. They are there to use. Or use an overdrive pedal. and expert at nothing signing out.

plus some pedals are very bad, analog or digital, true bypass or no, reck effects depends on what kind of processors are they use, for me the winner is axe fx or eventide eclipse or 7000 or 8000 series or tc electronix or rockman

plus it depends what amp do you wanna use, what is your taste, and not every all tibe amp are good, it depends on what quality parts, what kind of powertubes and preamp tubes the amp use, tone also depends on effects some people dont use effect loop for pedals and stuff and the tone is messed up, it also depends what kind of multi effects do you wanna use or pedals

it depends on how much money do you have for a good tube amp, and it depends on your ears what tone do you want to reach, than there are solid state amps some are good with good multi effects, personally i use peavey 6505 and i use a tc electronic g major 2 i use delay and some reverb for solos, and i have peavey valveking cab with celestion v30 which i will change to k100

what's the cost on that amp. i have a fender DeVille 212, and it's good, but the built in distortion isn't very good. i was looking at some mesa amps, but a friend told me orange are really good amps. he's into like death metal and stuff like that, so i would rather have your opinion. thanks.

Also, would you recommend this amp? Like you I'm into all the 80's stuff, but I also play a little blues, neo-classical etc.

Interesting little 2 videos man, you're right about the hum in the gain and the orange looks like it has a nice sound. My amp is good, but sometimes I feel there's some gain missing and the hum is my only solution, don't really want to use distortion pedals or anything like that..

Oh, and Kc, please keep the transpurple Striker coming, it looks nice !
