i'm pretty new to welding, would a 110 be able to weld a 1/4 inch pipe rail used for holding up a 500 pound wooden roof?? I'm just trying to understand what a 110 can and can't do, also, would you use a 110 to weld your cars axles together?
forney made a good alternative to both. it was cheaper than the HF model is now, its 100 amps, 110v. freaking amazing spark, only 6lbs(afaik they discontinued it). i have mine setup for scratch start tig! :D lol just for shits and giggles though, my real baby is my clarke 130 mig( with gas). where do you get your metal?
@ Freddytk421 i went to the website to sheck out the $200 Longevity unit you were talking about but only saw like 2 things in that price range, the rest is all expensive as shit!
@masterfenixxx Just get the 200 one it's great. Those other machines cost more but can do more. Working metal is not a cheap hobby/whatever. I try to get the least expensive stuff that works and lasts but it still costs lostsa moolah. HAve you gone out to buy metal yet? you may want to turn back now LOL
Yeah Freddy! We love this stuff! I have been talkin about ya on Longevity's forum. Sadly, I have not been able to get on their site today. Maybe maintenance.
I have a friend who just bought 135 AC/105 DC Amp Tri-Mode Arc Welder with Wheels at harbor freight for 149.00 with the coupon and it was on sale . I wander how your Longevity would stack up to it? I just watched him use it and he loves it says he got the 2 year warranty with it in case something goes wrong that is something I do not think you can get the Longevity, What is the warranty on the Longevity? Great videos !!
Longevity has an opportunity here to saturate the market with this welder. Take away sales from Harbor Freight's 80 amp unit, and make a household name for themselves. They just need to compete on HF's price for a little while. If they did, I'd get one.
are those 6011? try a 6013 on an inverter. im use to 1/8 and 3/32 but your using 5/64 right?
