  • what does he for the last note at the end??? how do you get that sound?

  • He played harmonics.

    To get that sound

LIGHTLY rest a finger directly above the fret (the metal in between 12th and 13th fret.

dont press down at all. just have your fingers on them. strum GBe. (last 3 strings.) that will get you the sound. :)

  • simply a piece of classic

  • Very good. The song is so sad and beautiful ...that's why I love it!

  • Isn't this by Segovia and not anonymous?

  • This work was written some 500 years ago and is indeed by an anonymous composer. Segovia himself did not compose, save a few very minor works; his performances were in the capacity of interpreter. Coincidentally, Mr. Laucke was one of Segovia's favorite disciples (Laucke won a competition against some 2000 guitarists for this honor.)

Later on, Segovia invited Mr. Laucke to perform with him in a PBS televised special direct from the Metropolitan Museum in New York and seen by 25 million viewers.

  • In this captivating performance of a timeless favorite, an inspired young Michael Laucke makes the most of this vivid melody: individual notes resonate with intense emotion while overall momentum is maintained from beginning to end. A minor classic played with masterful simplicity and charm, rendering it accessible for amateurs and delectable for connoisseurs... Pure balsam for the soul, one can delight in hearing it over and over...

  • well done - a guitar classic if ever there was one
