Actually i believe Kira and Athrun are evenly match. and the only reason why Shinn beat Kira because he knew kira wasnt going to attack the cockpit and used that to his advantage. Kira was never trying to kill him but to stall for the archangel. Besides have any of ya watched the gundam character theater?? even in videos games they are evenly matched XD and one more thing no one actually KNOWS who killed shinn's family cause the director never mentioned it.

Kira was in Seed Mode, which has been established repeatedly as Kira fighting at 100% and giving his all. Kira was fighting his best - it's his fault for relying on a style of combat that can be easily torn to shreds by a pilot with enough skill.

I want to point out that Athrun was ready to shoot his beam cannon at Kira when Aegis captured Strike within its claws but Aegis ran out of energy before it can fire it. So he blew it up.

Even though hes in SEED mode he doesnt use it to kill in fights,in most of the episodes he either tries to protect or end the battle with the least casualties possible, the only thing he wanted was for the battle to end. you make it seem like "OMGAH hes in seed mode he must be fighting his best" when hes only "DEFENDING".

And the thing you wanted to pointed out with athrun.. was unnecessary cause WE ALL SAW WHAT HAPPENED QQ

Protecting the AA = taking out Impulse.... Impulse is a direct threat to Kira's mission. Hence Kira's goal is still to take out the Impulse...Precisely why early on in the fight Kira wasn't running away and was trying to take the fight to Shinn albeit miserably.

Kira is fighting to protect the Archangel. He sortied knowing that ZAFT would try and draw him away from the AA, and he sortied knowing he should expect ZAFT to attack him. How would he be caught off guard when he knows he's being deployed to fight? Your assertion has no logical rationale or basis. It's like saying soldiers on guard duty don't expect to have to stop Prison Breaks... That's precisely why they're on Guard Duty...

Was Kira in SEED mode obviously giving it his best effort? Yes? Did Kira take swings at Shinn's cockpit despite his MO being not kill? Yes. Kira was fighting his best, simply because he disarms instead of kills doesn't change the fact he's fighting at his peak.

EVEN IN THE EPISODE BOTH SHINN AND REY SAYS Kira doesnt attack the cock pit. Also, theres a flash back during the fight that shows it with Shinn having a smirk on his face. GENIUS. You're just repeating the same shit you said before go use it on some other video

Lol he beat shinn in the last episode, that's why shinn was crying. The druggies died too. They died hard. Kira killed at least the blonde girl who can't swim. Shinn.... he doesn't know what's going on he just wants to be the best but can't beat kira in the end.

Athrun beat Shinn, because the producers were avoiding a serious Kira(SEED mode) vs Shinn(SEED mode) fight and they gave Shinn a mental breakdown during the last episode.

Actually Shinn beat Kira(watch eps 34) not the other way around, and the Druggies I was talking about are Orga, Shani & Clotho and Kira never beat even one of them. and the only 2nd generation extended he killed is Stella. He also killed Shinn's family.

Haha I'm sorry. Not saying shinn isn't awsome (don't like the breakdowns though) but he only beat kira cause kira wasn't trying to fight, just stall. And if you watched carefully he didn't really try to kill the druggies, cept stella cause she killed so many people. And lastly he did not kill shinn's family, one of the first druggies did, if you watched. :) I don't want to start a giant argument so i'll just stop here.

Stall? You can't be serious. If he didn't really want to fight he should've surrendered. You should rewatch episode 34 because I can see Kira fighting and losing. Yeah I watched SEED carefully(I have DVD in English) and Kira was losing to the druggies very badly but after Athrun came they made it. No one is that good. Fighting Three Gundams at once is suicidal.

Kira killed Shinn's family, just unintentional.

Actually, Kira said that they should leave him and taking Cagalli back to ORB is the only priority, Kira said it himself in eps 34.(Really this is youtube, I don't know why you don't rewatch it.)

please show evidence that he is stalling Shinn. Really in episode 34 Kira said that the AA should leave him and taking Cagalli back to ORB is the only priority and Kira said "I'll do everything I can to protect the ArchAngel, just focus on getting Cagalli back to ORB".
