that bmw is fine car but the 323 is like a toy race car.... revs to 7500, short gear ratio and low weight = lots of fun, they do 0-60 in 7-8 seconds
I'd prefer the bmw for daily use cause the mazda is really bad for travelling at high speeds (>5000 rpm at 100 mph)

My Mazda had a crash last week with a very new BMW (BMW's fault!) and she is just a bit bumped (?) but the BMW's lamp broke.
So as you can see an old Mazda is still stronger than a new BMW (even if it's just the ...erm... car body (?)) ;P
