About the TV shows themselves, in my opinion, 4Kids made a good dub for only one of them : "Kirby Right Back at Ya!" (but not as good as the japanese version, my favorite)
For the others, 4Kids butchered them. Sonic X for example has redundant and horrible musics, and bad voice acting (except for Shadow and Espio).
Thanks for uploading this li'l movie. But just a question, about the "Bonus Material" : Is there something special inside or not?
@Luigi128GreenCap: The bonus material included on this disc was primarily each show's title sequence/theme song. Mostly just promotional stuff that tied into the stuff you saw in the main program. In other words, nothing you can't find already here on YouTube.
@Sadet1991: "Commercials on TV aren't as interactive as they used to be." - I'll agree to that, however, that doesn't mean that there aren't any more "interactive" TV commercials any more. Sometimes I still see ads on TV that encourage you to go do something on the Internet. (Does that count?)
I liked it when you said "no, don't, it's a nothing site now." after it tells us to log onto the foxbox.
It kinda feels creepy as shit, doesn't it? when you watch a promo that asks you to log onto a website from years ago, it just feels like high octane nightmare fuel, especially if it involves saving a network station.
@dogman15 and even after that, the fox box still existed for about another year or so, before they changed the name again to 4kidstv (i liked foxbox better).
But yeah good memories... and I kinda figured they had to dub the voices of the Cramp twins with Veronica Taylor and that other guy in order to synch with the special.
@HamonLord: Veronica Taylor? I could have sworn Kath Soucie did Lucien's voice here. And someone went and changed it on IMDb. (I "created" that page initially.)
@dogman15 well i meant that veronica taylor had to voice lucien, since the original voice actress wasn't a part of 4kids, so they had to redub the voice in order to synch with the fight for the fox box special.
in this special, it seemed like the turtles were gone for good, but in the later episodes, they actually escaped. Kinda caught me off guard, but i figured they wouldn't really let the main characters die.
@Darthlucy1: That is very possible. I don't know everything about this DVD. All I know is that about a year ago, I ripped it, converted it to AVI, rendered it to WMV, and posted it to YouTube for sharing. At that time, I barely knew anything, and now, thanks to YouTube and fair use laws, hundreds of people have "written in" telling me more trivia about this production and DVD. (Including you.)
@dogman15 it is people like you who piss me the hell off thinking that ripping copyrighted material is "cool" and boasting about it online.... nobody should be proud of fraudulent activity, if you do crap like that just keep it to yourself, there are many people doing what you are doing, but most of them are smart enough to keep quiet... just beware, your IP addresses can be tracked stop making it easier for them to find you. I'm not even sure why I am telling a 13 year old this...
@RMDelete: There is absolutely nothing wrong with my posting of this video on YouTube. I am 100% personally confident about that, and that FOX (or whoever) won't demand it be taken down. It promotes their stuff, right? Also, most people can't track IP addresses by just a YouTube screen name.
And for your information, I am 20 years old, soon to be 21 in November.
So from what I get, the ending was that the viewers entered the code(s) and Wayne's plan was an epic failure and the Fox Box just continued as if this never happened. Then, it was named 4kidsTV and yeah...
@MsPatricia55: Well, considering that this entire sequence was ripped directly from a pre-produced episode, probably, yeah. I never watched that show, so I can't say for certain. For the contrived plot of this special, I would say that they survived here, too. (This whole thing in non-canon, but who cares about canon in any of these shows, anyway?)
I've put in the codes a long time ago and you now what I've got from doing it, Absolutely nothing. Nothing butbut a congratulatons message and that is all.
"Congratulations! Thank you for entering the Fox Box(TM) code(s)! With your help, the Fox Box(TM) will surely be back on the air in no time! Now click this link to visit our main website!"
Ofcourse Shredder is the only one with a little succes. All other villains failed, Shredder actually make them explode (well, it seems like he did. But they were still defeaten, the other good guys were not)
@Streetfighterfan77: That's kind of funny, even though I only have a very cursory understanding of what you're referencing. "Yu-Gi-Oh", right? I've never watched that show or done anything related to it.
Wow... I enter the savethefoxbox . com into my url box and I got redirected to the verizon FIOS website. I think fox is trying to get some extra cash here lol.
@MrMega200: When I go to that website, I don't see anything Verizon-related. That must be unique to your Internet service provider or web browser. All I see is the most generic and bland-looking web page ever. (Save, of course, for something... dot... com. It's a real site.)
@dogman15 Well... It must of changed during the time I visited because I just came across a bland site also. If it was my ISP then they were crazy because I have Time Warner for my internet.
Well it doesn't matter anymore because the site is dead. I still remember all of this when I was a kid. Never got into it because the series were a mess to keep track of.
@mydawg222: I don't remember or have the slightest clue how I got mine. From what others (including yourself) have said, apparently Fox Kids mailed out a "whole heap of DVDs" (as King Dedede said), and you were one of the recipients. Much of this production is still wrapped in mystery. It has an IMDb page but no Wikipedia article.
Ah, I remember getting this DVD in the mail years ago, I still have it even. I remember being shocked years later to find out it had been renamed "4Kids TV".
@megadork456: You got this in the mail? I can't even remember how I got mine. No clue whatsoever. Do you know anything else about the production and distribution of this TV special?
My friend and I were bored, so we searched through his closet. He knocked down a whole bunch of stuffed, and by fate, we found this dvd. We popped it in to his laptop, and we discovered just how horrible cartoons can be.
@dogman15 Ha ha ha ha ha! Good question! I told my friend that I'd go see what the website was. So, I typed it in the address bar, to find that the website wasn't there. Confused, I went to YouTube and looked up something about saving the Fox Box, to maybe see someone on the website. Instead I found this video, and clicked on it., because I remembered that at the end of the DVD it showed the name of the website. Still, the website didn't exist. You could write a book about my journey, I guess.
So, after all that, we find out that the mastermind was none other than Wayne Cramp... This entire crossover was just used to promote The Cramp Twins on the Fox Box...
@dogman15 "So Bad it's Good", I heard something like that on TV Tropes. But anyway, I can't believe a little bastard like Wayne Cramp would mastermind a group of villains and try to take over a Saturday morning block like the terrorists taking over a building in Die Hard. Heck, the fact that he uses a Deep Throat-like voice here reminds me of Hikaru from Shugo Chara...
"So Bad it's Good" *is* from TV Tropes. Go there and search for "Fight for the Fox Box". I've already created its own page there. I wonder if the "hiding-behind-a-deep-voice" thing is a trope...
the whole crossover was weird, basically just taking scenes from they're shows ( with the exception of they're own footage they made with the funky cops and meat from ultimate muscle) if you wanna see a real crossover, watch the Minky Momo vs Creamy Mami fight.

Wayne Cramp (aka The Voice) says what he says (see video) and then it's revealed that he was running the whole thing from his bedroom. Then he pushes Lucien down the stairs.
0:46 So all of this is just fake? And he is for real as he want's to destroy the Fox Box?
