Noel Devine and Devin Hester both ran 4.31's, and those guys were about that fast in college (Hester is still that fast in the NFL). The 40 tiems at college combines might not be as reliable as the 40 tiems at NFL combines, but that doesn't mean they are unreliable. They are pretty accurate.

Hemingway is going to start at outside reciver this year, from what I've heard from UM's practice, he's UM's best reciever so far. Stonum will become a good reciever in time, he's Micihgan's best (and only so far) deep threat and if he can learn how to catch he will become a great wide out.

Long was a 1st team All American. Kraus was 2nd team all Big ten. Henne was 1st team all Big ten as a QB, passed for over 2000 yards, had 17 TD to 9 picks, and had a 60% completion percentage. Hart ran for 1361 yards and 14 TD on 5 YPC. Manningham had 72 catches for 1174 yards and 12 TD. Arrington had 67 for 882 and 8 TD. Butler had 20 for 246 (12.3 YPC) and 2 TD. Mathews ahd 39 for 366 and 3 TD. As a team, we went 9-4, finsihed 18th in the antion, and ebat Florida. We were damn good in 2007

Noel Devine and Devin Hester both ran 4.31's, and those guys were about that fast in college (Hester is still that fast in the NFL). The 40 tiems at college combines might not be as reliable as the 40 tiems at NFL combines, but that doesn't mean they are unreliable. They are pretty accurate.

Chris Wells is also a very rare case. Simply put, there isn't a running back like Chris Wells even every other year, let alone every year. Even if there were one RB like Chris Wells every year, do you really think it's plausible to land that guy every time? Of course not.

I'm proud of what Breaston has done in the NFL with the Cardinals, but the fact remains he was a bust as a starting wide receiver at Michigan. he started 2 seaosns at Michigan (2005 and 2006), and look at what he did:
2005: 26 catches for 291 yards and 2 TD
2006: 58 catches for 670 yards and 2 TD
For a guy that was suppsoed to be a gamebreaking reciever, he was a bust. He was AMAZING as a returner. I lvoed him as a returner. But he was indded a bust as a receiver.

At least App State was the 3 time defending NC and was laoded with talent (Armanti Edwards, Dexter Jackson, Corey Lynch, Kevin Richardson, hans Batichon, Coco Hillary, and Pierre Banks). App State ebats the shit out of a lot of D-1 teams. Toledo? They went 3-9. They suck.

And BTW, check out my channell. I'm a loayal, diehard Michigan Wolverines fan. We have NOT sucked ever year suince 1997. Up until 2008, we finished in the top 15 7 times in 10 seasons. We finished in the top 10 4 times, won multiple january Bowl games (1998, 199, 2000, 2002, 2007), won 4 Big ten titles, and went undefeated at home several times.

In alot of these cases, you fail to distinguish between "tiny" players and a "undersized" players. there's a big difference. I'm talking about tiny guys like Shitavious odoms and Jeremy gallon, not undersized players like Emmit Smith, Mike Hart, Steve Slaton, Maurice Drew, Ray Rice, DeAngelo Williams,(all of whom are short but are over 200 pounds). Barry Sanders was only the greatest tailback of all time. he had god-given abilities no one else had......

and about odoms leading the team in receptions and yards: if you throw a receiver the ball a billion tiomes a game and utilzie him more then anyone else by a mile, he'll elad your team in receptions by default, not cause he's any good. odoms is the worst starting receiver U-M has had in the last 3 decades

Darron Sproles led the nation in all purpose yardage in 2003 and ran for 1900 yards that season. he's an uber-athlete. Ditto Steve Smith, whos is one of the NFL's top 5 receivers. Deion bracnh? What a joke. Branch was never a playmaker or a gamebreaker. he's been a contributor in the NFl and was a contributor with Lousiville. His one shining moment is the Super Bowl against Philly. Breaston? He was a BUST as a receiver at Michigan.
