  • Very nice!!! kote from sei nitto is an unspected strike....

  • @yamatofraccion Sei Nitto?

  • @Shogunmiyuchan :

Sei nitto is nitto (two swords) performed with the daito(the larger sword) in the left hand, is not very common in championships because is very difficult to hit kote, generally nitto players use gyaku nitto (with daito in the right hand), this way is easier to strike kote.

  • I think this nitto is bad.

Nitto give a real advantage to his user against a morote

we can't say nitto is better than chudan kamae but as the jodan no kamae, nitto gives an advantage. First, the use of two different size of sword allow to attack or defend in a large area and in close area. Then you can attack with other trajectory that aren't possible with a shinai morote. At the end, the result of the nitto's usage depend of the user.

  • is nito kendo allowed in the wkc?

  • @jung567 Yes, nito-ryu and jodan are allowed in WKC. They are part of kendo.

  • @oextremista ty

  • @jung567 Of course, John Howell Sensei used it in the first WKC back in 1970

  • is that him on the new kendo video "slow motion" in a semi final, with a brown do? its quite the same style

  • @ninjalowang : yes, it's Yamana-san in that video. I like his nitto.

  • wonderful kote!
