i have one not the wagoon but the saden.the car suck and they wont fix it.stay away from ydundai unless you want to work on it all the time or in the shop 2 months at a time
To me Hyundai and Kia are like generic brands; They may be a great value and they may even look nice, but as soon as you see the "off-brand" insignia you're like "I can't be seen in this!". That said this Elantra is very tempting. The styling is similar to the Saturn Astra and the rear slightly resembles the Volvo V50. It looks more practical than the Toyota Matrix, certainly more upscale, and possibly more fun to drive. I still doubt I'll get one but it is very tempting.
So nice to see a small wagon come back into vogue. Toyota sells its Fielder wagon overseas while we get the ugly little Matrix, which is not at all a wagon but a hatchback. My knees rub up against the console in Matrix but not Corolla, which is odd. I'm hoping I'll be comfortable in the Elantra. My coworker loves his, and the fact that fully loaded is still under $20K...win!
Kudos to Hyundai for making a nice-looking wagon with a Euro flair! (Love the Touring badge, BTW.) I want this, the Kia Soul or Nissan Cube, but I'm edging closer to the Hyundai or Kia (mostly because of all that standard equipment and the awesome warranty!)
I live in Canada. I own a 2002 Elatra GL. If you do enough research you'll find out that this car is called the I30 in Europe and Asia. Renaming it for North American sales is alright. But calling it an Elantra doesn't make sense to me. I mean, it looks very little like the current Elantra sedan available right now. Both cars are great looking, but they could have given this car a different name.
is it sold in europe?

KIA is hardly "generic" I have owned so many cars in my life and My KIA Optima is the first of my cars ever to get compliments for strangers.

Isn't Hyundai the 4th largest carmaker in the world? It's hardly "generic".
I saw an Elantra Touring toay and it's beautiful and classy looking for a small car. Looks much better than a Toyota Matrix.
I'm thinking of this as my next car.
If you're worried about not being seen in a car, then you have to work on your self-esteem my friend.
I really don't care what people think of what kind of car I drive; I just want a good car at a decent price.
