Defining them in a certain genre is hard, which I think is the root of most of the hate for this band. As for the costume, again with the Gothic style, their look here is romantic and fits with the song in my opinion. Hell, I wear velvet shirts from time to time, Cradle is as much a part of my life as Mayhem, 1349 and Gorgoroth

Best line-up ever. Saw them '94 in a really small venue in Trier with max 120 other fans. After the concert Dani entered the bar with a magnum bottle red wine....I really prefer vempire,dusk and cruelty. That were milestones-like Barkers drumming. He owns doublebass,blasts the snare right away and used to do that splash/tom combinations...

Everything about this band was so fucking ace right here. DUSK is my favorite album and this clip shows why.

It captures that era flawlessly. Every band member looks so dark, evil, and Romantic. The sound and rawness is pure and magical... THIS is the band I fell in love with!

I still like the new albums, but they're on a whole different level. You cannot recapture the days of old.

At first I didnt like it. But it´s fantastic. Just take same serious silent and quiet moments (quiet moments are so rare these hectic days, arent they) and just listen to their cd "Godspeed". Gilles De Rais is a fantastic story, the follow up to E. Bathory concept album. I especially like the paintings in the booklet.

Dusk and her embrace is the definition of Gorhic. COF are fantastic. My favourite song THANK GOD FOR THE SUFFERING
