Perhaps for the same reason that withdrawing all troops may lead to another case of the "Talibans", and allow them to gain back some of their old grounds? And why -not- hold troops in Germany? It's a convenient logistics location in Europe (for their war in Afghanistan/Iraq), and allows America to fufill it's NATO defence agreements.

Even if it is pre-prepared, besides holding left beliefs, what else do you have against him? He has a plan, at the least, to evalutate the mission in Afghanistan, and moderate the troops in the area thusly to match what needs to be done on the ground to create peace.

How can you take someone serious who all but says we have won in Iraq and the real problem is afghanistan and pakistan. But doesn't go on to say we are withdrawing from Iraq. He talks about how he would withdraw the troops from afghanistan if there was no real threat so why aren't we withdrawing from Iraq? What about the shit ton of troops we have in Germany? What the fuck are they still doing there why are we paying for that? You actually believe any of this shit anymore? Pathetic.
