  • Somebody, anybody: Please post B Angie B on Soul Train, singing this same song. I remember her absolutely turning the mutha out, in a very, very, low cut, down the back, skin tight, one piece pants outfit.

  • Get it girl! Taking me back to my high school days in the band getting featured on that front line at the West.

  • This Girl is SO FINE, I`m Gonna LOSE MY MIND.

  • Too bad artist can't go HARD like this anymore. :-/

  • @MrSexxxy20 And they really believe they are. That's what's funny.

  • @Cheenjoo Isn't it? Things are just ridiculous now days even some of the artist who came out during this time are not what they use to be anymore.

  • @MrSexxxy20 Yeah, it's like they either jumped ship and left the industry all together or went the Independent label route. Or they joined this horrible movement to destroy quality music. So sad.

  • omg this takes me backkkkkk!! woooooooow!!!!

  • I LOVE this song. B ANGIE B is one of my ALL time FAVORITE SINGERS. Man I Miss her and the REAL MUSIC From the 80's and 90's!

  • the man's name in the video is named gene, he's a old friend of mine. very nice guy!

  • Ok the video guy looks like Ric Foxx lol

  • BangieB was the woman that slept with mike tyson in the same hotel where the aledge rape happened in 1991 in Indianapolis he was also chilling with Johnny Gill as well She, and her now two children (teenaged daughter and young son), live in the suburbs of the Atlanta, GA area where she has dealved into interior design and real estate says uzipolo king of decatur

  • Oh yes I do totally understand what everyone is saying about the direction of rnb. Its unfortunate not only in music but what happened to black culture in general. I saw Biggies One More Chance video and was like wow "that's what we used to be about. Black folks together at a house party". We knew who were. And that wasn't THAT long ago.

  • This was just true talent. I didn't realize at the time just how talented and pretty she was but now I appreciate it. I think we all can since we are in the days of autotune and choreographers. She reminds me of the Jaycettes (I mean real Jaycettes not men posing as women). She can out dance everyone.

  • Thank you Lord for music, and people's freedom to record as they would like. Ya'll people are absolutely brain washed into thinking that all so called secular music has some hidden (i hate God) message. Give me a break. Honey, it takes all kinds.

  • If the message is loud and clear in the artist's music and they're being clear about it, how can you debate about what they truly mean? They're saying what they mean. "Middle finger to the Lord." "Jesus Christ can't save you, life begins when the church ends...." It doesn't get any clearer than that.

  • Somebody is going to read all these hell of comments we done left up here. I know somebody's gonna say something. LOL

  • Now that I think about it, I've never heard Jay thank god for any award he has received. And I admit, for a time like 1999 my attitude was f the lord. But when you realize that he's all you have in terrible circumstances you revert back reeeeal quick! LOL But I was a young dumb motherfucker trying to understand life in his early 20's.

  • You know, this really does seem like some Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith shit. And Jay has surrendered himself to the darkside. LOL 666 Murder Murder Jesus? My ex girlfriend warned me along time ago about one of the verses in Jay's song "Dirt Off Ya Shoulder" And he said something like "Middle finger to the Lord." I thought he was saying law but he said the lord. I have no patience for rude talk like that. Makes me want to fuck him up. He been hanging around them crackers too long.

  • Yeah, I had my conflict about things back then. Was very angry. But I have not opened that book in along time. I go to church more often than I have been in the past. And open my bible alot more. Yeah, Jay Z Reasonable Doubt is kool. He changed somewhere along the line when he had his dispute with Damon Dash. If you notice, Jay Z has alot more weird images in his videos now. Check out "On 2 The Next One." He renounced his affiliation with his old friends. He's all about the caucasions now.

  • I'm not saying that I'm still into it. But I'm glad I studied it when I did because I'm able to recognize what the narrator is speaking on.

  • I'm looking at Jay Z Deception. That shit is soooo deep. And half of that stuff I regognized speaking on Osiris, Isis, and Horus because I was into witchcraft from 2002 to 2003. Even with the number 11. I had no idea dude rolled like that. If I ever showed you my poetry book there is sooo much I learned that I took notes on it. Even things or hebrew tongue of worship. You know that Barack Obama's first name means "to kneel before god" in Hebrew. Everything I learned is actually paying off. LOL

  • I choose 1997 up to 2005 as far good music to thump to. Neo Soul and underground rappers were still making some good music then. 2006 is when they did a 180 on everything. I still listen to gospel from the early 80's and up to 1994. '94 was a good year for gospel music to me. Sounds of Blackness and Hezekiah Walker had my attention.

  • LOL @ the Lady Ga Ga comment. yeah, she is a reminder of a Madonna. I don't understand some of these artists, though. We come from a time of racial tension and oppression. Still oppressed to be honest when you consider how many people are unemployed. Me being ! of them. HIV and Herpes are a common STD to have now when in our time we use to put together Urban AID concerts to raise money for research. There is so much to rap and sing about. Has time changed so much that negativity is acceptable?

  • I only said 1997 because around the summer time was when I started noticing a change in the music. Then gradually it started becoming a problem. 2000 there were people still around and coming out that were individuals. There was enough music to where I wasn't completely convinced that music was dead. But by 2006, I couldn't believe what had happened. Oh yeah, music reflects what state of mind society is in. Definitely. I can see that from looking at Lady Ga Ga LOL

  • You know, and getting in the music business is my dream. I want to be the one that sets up a record label and writes his own music and starts a trend that goes against everything that music and pop culture represents today. I imagine if I actually was able to do that people would try to have me killed. Because I'm gaining fans by my own standards and saying things that cause people to think. And I'm stopping people from getting money.LOL I would love that!

  • The moment 1997 hit, that's when individuality started becoming a problem. I'm gonna check out that JAY-Z Deception and see what it says. I already aint like him. Oreo motherfucker.

  • Whoever thinks that should be shot in the head. But then again, our black women are doing things that cater to the stereotype. Like wearing weeves for example that come from India instead of their natural hair. I know you saw Chris Roc's recent movie about that, right? I thought Lauryn Hill's dreds were beautiful until she cut them off.

  • I have noticed that. Some white people are not as god fearing as black people. That's why when you read certain comments up here, they say retarded shit like "Jah is gay" or "there is no god". Or they get mad when artists give glory to God when they win an award. I had 1 white assiciate that I don't talk to anymore who didn't dig his co worker leaving early from the job because of his religious beliefs. But considering how pervrted he is and his sterotype beliefs of black people I see why.

  • Yeah, Ray J screwing his best friend named Young Buck. Not the rapper Young Buck. Tevin Campbell did get caught up so I guess that's why nobody's messing with him no more either. But Teddy Pendergrass was caught in the car with another man also. I didn't know this until my mother bought it up. That's why he was confined to the wheel chair. But women still loved his music.

  • Oh yeah. I believe that some brothers don't like that. I've got a homeboy who believes Jill Scott is the ugliest thing alive. Along with Monique. And I think the way they carry themselves are classy, but he's an asshole. I don't talk to the motherfucker no more.

  • I'm about supporting my people too. The Italians and the Mexicans definitely stick together. And you're right. Black UnITY is a scary thing for the "MAJORITY." We have been known to accomplish so much when we all get together and make things happen. But the government always wants to break it up when we're starting to make progress. Whether it's organized cime or a political movement. These young kats coming up are too blind to recognize something like that.

  • I know, man. I use to look forward to the Grammys. Especially when Janet jackson use to perform (during the time her Rhythm Nation album came out). I don't think that Grammys now can see a grey area in music anymore that doesn't sterotype black artists. All of the music sounds the same. And everybody's attitude is the same. Yeah, well.... Jay Z sold out along time ago. His newest video has so many white people in there that it makes me think he forgot where he came from.

  • But tsince we focusing on just artists dating outside their race, thatwould be an easy reason. I think it's because they want to try everything. I mean, they are celebrities and meet all kinds of people now. They're nolonger confined to their regular environments anymore. They're doing alot more traveling and rubbing elbows with EVERYBODY. LOL Shit, some of 'em are even rubbing cock wit their male fans. I know you heard about Ray J and Young Buck.

  • To be honest with you, you'll see black women dating alot of Italian men these days too. I have an idea why.I think it's for financial support. And from the girls I've seen and one that I dated? I know that's what they expect out of a man. Yeah, a man (not just black) is expected to bring home the bacon. But the problem comes in when you're dealing with a woman that can't give you anything or doesn't have any ambition of her own. All she wants is a man to take care of her.

  • Hmmm.. speaking from what I've seen and other black brother's reactions? It's not that black women are unattractive. It's that some of them (not all) want more than what a dude can give. Like all they want is money. Some of my friends and relatives that went into the military had a chance to travel to Australia and japan. Said that the women there treat black men like kings. They always make sure that he HAVE. And they end up marrying those girls or dating them.

  • Some people would probably think that you're crazy for thinking that (New World Order), but there probably is some truth to that. The FBI were taking pictures of Biggie and Pac during their last days. And they won't following them because of anything illegal. It was something else. U believe in the Illuminati, though? have you ever read up on that stuff?

  • Somebody will probably read this and think we racist as hell. LOL Man, whatever. It's about having our OWn. That's why it was good that they did the Soul Train Music Awards last year. Chaka Khan is just now getting an award of recognition. Do you really think they would recognize her for anything @ the Grammy's or the World Music Awards. Everybody is too busy kissing Beyonce's ass. What do you think should be done to change all of this shit? I've got an idea but I don't have enough $ 2 do that.,

  • As far as black men dating all these latina women and Asian and white women? It goes deeper than the artists. You've got actors like Tiger "oreo" Woods, Cuba Gooding Jr, OJ Simpson, and so many others dating outside their race. I'm not against it @ all. But I'm against it if that's all they want. But it's always been like that. It's just that now since selling out is mainstream? You're going to see alot more of it. But that's awhooole 'nother topic. We'd have to start a forum on that one.

  • You're right about all of it. It seems like we have sold out. You would think it should be the other way around. To this day, we're still doing things to please the "majority". There was a time when WE made music for us. I'm all about being universai and allowing all people to relate to it, but it's not even THAT anymore. That girl PINK even said the samething. It's all ignorance. I guarantee you MAINSTREAM thinks being black means being illegal & criminal. Music is all about exploiation now.

  • Yeah, u did have X Clan, Public Enemy, and stuff like that being afrocentric. But even after that, you had people like Ice Cube that wasn't rocking medallions still being informative about what was going on in the neighborhood even if it sounds violent. & even when the music was violent it still had substnce in it to where it didn't feel like it was all about selling drugs and getting all the women. People would rap about the circumstances as to why they were doing it. I really don't understand.

  • Are you serious? They closed the R&B divisions down? That would explain alot of things. You have artists like Leela James, Algebra, Kindred Family Soul, and Lalah Hathaway that still stick to the original way of making R&B music. That explains why I don't hear their music on the radio unless it's on Michael Baisden's show. Or some kind of black syndicated radio show. That's not fair. Teena Marie was true to the artform. Always will have respect for her. I agree wit u on that.

  • And times have changed. We come from an era of racial injustice with Rodney King and the Regan administration bringing drugs into the country by supporting the war in Nicaragua, and the Watts riots, the outbreak of AIDS... I could go on. We had something to stand up and sing about. And these issues are still going on but these new artists want 2 be ignorant about it. & black music is dying. Nobody has an identity anymore. Everybody is singing about the same thing. I'm like u. I miss the old days

  • Evrything has seemed to cross over. Rap, reggae, and R&B. Everything seems to be catering to a commercial audience. People are making music to fit the American Idol audience instead of having their own identities. Rap and R&b use to be about issues at one point. Like the Marvin Gayes and Tupacs. Now everybody wants to rap or sing about being in the club and screwing around. Well, white people are in control of distribution for these artists. So they get dictated what 2 rap and sing about.

  • LOL I think to some degree you have a point. Yeah, from the 60's all the way up to the 90's you can hear that R&B artists were inspired from the church. I'm not sure if this generation comes up under the church anymore. Seems like alot of things that weren't morally acceptable in the beginning have become acceptable. As far as white people trying to sing black? lemme see, u got Joss Stone, Robin Thicke, Amy Crackhouse that have soul R&B. The rest are pop as hell like Kelly Clarkson and them

  • It always comes in cycles. The dark-skinned sistaz will be back soon enough.

  • great song but this B angie B dummytried to be Mike Tyson's alibi when he was accused of rape....why she would want that "15 minutes" is beyond me. They proved she was "mistaken" and she crawled back where she came from. Im almost certain that she was raised better than that. great voice, beautiful color skin, nice body,,,what were u thinking!

  • To be honest, women that had voices that sound like they were brought up in the church was IN. B Angie B had a strong voice, Coko from SWV was the same way. Kelly Price, Faith Evans, and so on.... Now? None of these singers light skinnned or not do not have powerful voices that would blow a crowd away. Standards are just low as hell now.

  • She isn´t Angie B, the original,

  • Lvu it

  • I always thought she was pretty.

She always reminded me of my mom.

My mom from back in the day.

  • OMD...THIS IS MY SHIT!!!!

  • She was a total put together package; beautiful, great body & talented; not to mention that damn' weave was workin'!!!!

  • IS that Rick Fox puttin the moves on her??? That's hot!!

  • Damn, she was THE BOMB: Talent, voice, the moves, sex appeal, nastyness, THAT ASS. I remember her performance of this cut on Soul Train. She had a jump suit cut all the way down to THAT ASS.Damnnn. Why can't all girl singers be sweet and nasty lumps of dark chocolate sugar freakiness.

  • **passes Buckeyecat2002 a tall glass of ice water to cool him down**

  • Me too. I taped that performance and she rocked the train

  • B Angie B was a part of Mc Hammer

  • You mean his "Bust It" posse?

  • Angie's body was insane.

  • Wasn't she seeing Mike Tyson for a minute?

  • I'm not sure if they dated, but they were friends and she visited him when he was in jail.

  • B Angie B was thicker than Cold Grits! She could pop that thang!!!! Beyonce is good, but she cant work it like Angie!

  • awesome!

  • No one can shake like that at 0:39, not even Beyonce.

  • you should see her at the end of the "juicy gotcha crazy" video. little girl w/ big voice

  • This video takes me back, driving through the streets of Orlando listening to this. Ahhhh...those were the days. The musicians today SUCK.

  • i dont like skinny girls but b angie b blows my mind with how hard she pops!!!! wow.

  • Yo, I'm not gay or anything, but she does pop hard as H! lol

  • yall need to quit sleepn on MISSISSIPPI!!!!

just about every body you know is either from Mississippi or GOT TIES to Mississippi!!!!!

Hammer came down here, got JUST A COUPLE of singers from my great state and lost his DAMN MIND!

  • Thank you Everybody has some tie to the south. Sometimes I wish I was born and raised in the south. B Angie B moved to LA after high school and got a job at a computer company and was later discoved by one of Hammer's producers who had to convince him that she could blow. After he heard her he had her recording. Plus his wife is from Mississippi as well

  • Gurl you can blow!!!

I was so in love with this chick and this song til it was ridiculous! I have to agree with Shilohdream that as much as I love Beyonce, Angie was the ultimate performer and would have given B a run for her money. The girl was BAD! Thank you SOooooooooooooooooooo MUCH for posting this!!!!!!! I STILL LOVE B ANGIE B!!

  • This girl was bad... Thanks for posting:)

  • Ok, I just lost my mind for about 4 minutes and 43 seconds. Oh, the memories.

  • Thanks Hammer for hott ladies you brought to fore front!! Music was hype! Ladies were fly & the sure could pop it!!! Oh..& any dude that stays in mirror more than woman, 95% he's gay.

  • boy was this joint LOUD....lol

  • my mom said this is a remake of a very old song..damn u know her and Hammer hurt each other! (wouldn't have mind being the fly on the wall.) yall know someone voiced over that guys lines cos u know he sounded like michael jackson. He was fooine though.with his philip michael thomas lookin' self.

  • The Emotions sang this one first but this girl put the real STANK on it... love this version better

  • a few singers sample the Emotions.

  • No this was sung first by the emotions is what I meant

  • B ANGIE B can give Beyonce a run for her money, i actually think that's where bey got her moves from..I love ya bey but B angie was my first love..god I miss the 90's. I had such a crush on the guy in the video..then I found out he was gay. TQ 4 posting this video!! it's hot!
