did you update restore and update to 3.0.1 via itunes , then download the right firmware 3.0 for iphone 3g then jailbreak, then get ultra snow ?

that means you downloaded the wrong firmware it has to be the one specifically for your device

Hi,

please help. After finishing unlocking a 16GB 3G, it is in a pop up that reads "Edit Home Screen", and it doesn't respond to touch. I restored to 3.0 firmware and the keyboard appeared and responded to touch. So, I run RedSnow again, and happened the same popup. The slide work. Please help,

OK after hours of trial and error, I finally solved. In a forum someone wrote he solved it by sliding his finger up and down until the pop-up dissappeared. I tried it several times during the day with no success, thinking it was a joke, but finally it worked.

you gonna have to put your pdone into dfu mode and restore it.... to do this you connect you phone to your pc and open itunes , then you hold down home and power until the phone turns off and the screen goes black , then you let go of the power button and keep holding down home until itunes says it has recognized a divice then you simply just click on restore

why does 3G have to be off? can 3G never be used if an iPhone is unlocked this way?

Well there is one way to get the 3G to work if you have t-mobile , you have to call t-mobile and they can give you the settings for 3G network

Yes so what you do is you back up your phone back up your phone before doing this .....so that when you lose everything you can just connect back to itunes and sync it all back .... if yoy have any more Questions just ask

You can but you have to call t-mobile ( 611 ) and they will give you the settings but for now turn it off

I've done everything in the video but half way through the installing jailbreak software windows displays a message saying redsnow08 has to close due to a problem!

I'm lost I don't understand why it's doing it.

Just to be clear: first step is to shift+restore firmware 3.0.1 on iTunes, then in redsn0w I choose the 3.0 right?

your best bet would be to restore your iphone with itunes , and then jailbreak it again....... you only need cydia..............icy is optional
