I wondered if you had to turn the opposite direction. I could imagine myself in a car looking left while my hands are going right and only then I'd realize I made the wrong turn. (after being in the truck for a while)
The brother in the drivers side jump seat just doesn't get what it means to wear his seatbelt and go home tomorrow morning in one piece. I'd have to toss that brother back to an Engine company. Why may I ask you Mr. Tillerman, are you NOT wearing your headset? SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY my brothers, let's not have a "close call" or worse. Otherwise nice driving.

Raleigh Fire Dept just turned over a truck like this and blamed it on a miscommunication between the driver of the tractor and the Tiller operator. You will not that this Cornelius operator tells the driver that he is not wearing his headset and tells him to go ahead. Poor training or a gap problem between the ears is the problem with both tiller operators. Cornelius needs to get a handle on this before they kill someone.

Just went to your website and saw the history of this apparatus. Didn't know you guys had a tiller and at first I thought it replaced the platform.
Thanks for posting the videos, you've got a great ladder with a lot of history behind it.

Yeah people were dying daily in cities from tiller wrecks in the days before headsets.
While I understand your concern, no headset doesn't necessarily mean no communication. This video doesn't seem to show any dangerous driving.
