Well, genetically speaking there has yet to be shown any ancestral commonalities between Levantines (Jews) and N.A. First Nations, but I can tell you that there certainly has been plenty of mixing and intermarriage between the 2 groups. In fact many Cherokee have Jewish genomes. Take what I say with a grain of salt because I am not an expert, just interested. OTOH, I know close to me that are products of this :)
As a caribbean of African and sephardic stock i never got to realy know about the rich sephardic musical culture as most of the jews in those islands are assimilated and not in touch with this ancient culture. If it was not for yasmin her voice passion and clarity i would not be as passionate about ladino at all. My soul has been awoken.
