I couldn't agree more. It's disappointing to see that a system that was put in place to protect and serve Canadians has turned into one that harms and robs us instead. The entire system, both government and legal, needs to be changed. It shouldn't be illegal to protest, especially peaceful demonstrations, when something is disagreeable.

I couldn't agree more with you, the canadian legal system is based on money, if they cant make money off it they dont bother. If they can make money they will take everything you have. I have been charged with a crime that i didnt do, it has cost me more then 10'000 to fight and noone seems to realize theres no evidence. Noone even relizes how fake the whole situation is.. is there anyone out there anymore?
there is no justice anywhere in the world. we should stop playing game and go back to our root and eat each other alive just like any other animals. and stop putting legal name on our slaughter y of others. if we just kill each other and eat is at least more honest way of what they are doing now.
which planet canada is this little commentary about? the one on earth does not have a justice system... for those who happen to belong to a minority group.
but seeing that you've cited "hate crime" on your list of what you consider freedom-diminishing principles, i suppose that would be the least of your concerns
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being a lawyer and telling the truth. Money always wins. Why are people on welfare in the first place BECAUSE OF OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM. I am a mother who had to fight a million dollar oil field company to get child support. I am now on welfare PAYING child support to a deadbeat and welfare is financially supporting THAT CHILD BECAUSE SHE LIVES WITH ME.
every country has its down sides when it comes to their justice system, no such thing as perfection when its a human enterprise. Im a correctional officer (in training) but have resently done a work placement at an institution for youth and have seen first hand how the system works and doesnt work. There will always be curropt personal at all levels, but not all people are curropt.
Screaming "White Power' and supporting Neo-Nazi's is also allowed under freedom of speech, but that doesn't make it acceptable. It is despicable and Christie associates with these intolerant thugs.
Actually I think you're incorrect there. There is a limitation clause in the constitution that excepts speech that is hateful. If the speech is not reasonable in a free and democratic society then it is not protected by the Charter!
Drawing Muhamed as a terrorist and putting it on public newspapers multiple times is considered free speech, but saying something against abortion is discrimination.
The Canadian Constitution and the human Rights Act are garbage ..they look good on paper ..but are worthless when it come to those of us who are NOT EMPLOYED WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACY.
The Consittution does not protect injured workers ..the WCB Legislation over rides the Constitution and Labour Lawyers know this..yet they do nothing.
I wish the same things Doug, I think that it is sad though that citizens even need a lawyer to get Justice through the courts, all a person should need is the truth, but we both know that people need alot more then that ,when in law words can have more then one meaning and this strange language of legalese the prevents justice from happening. I love your stuff man, keep posting
Doug you are an amazing speaker and as I sit on the sidelines and see a lot of the same things you see I must not speak out or face the possibility of being labled as a trouble maker How many more people are out there facing the same problems and fail to speak out in fear of going to jail or being silenced in other ways via the government?
Doug, where is provincial cessation outlined in the Canadian constitution?
From what I have read so far, the crown (bureaucracies) is/are infallible.
The justice system, in Canada, appoints their judges to make decisions without the use of precedences. There's no appellate process, (at-least one I understand), to keep judges in check. How does that work?
Can you educate me or point me a direction to explain all this?
We need to ensure that the general public has access to competent lawyers.
This should be a right not a privileged.
Legal aid is a complete joke and makes a mockery of the system despite the good intentions of many.

Well said. Your honesty is refreshing, thank you.
The Canadian government can borrow interest free money from the Bank of Canada, but chooses to borrow from private banks at substantial interest.
All countries, on behalf of citizens, borrow as debt at substantial interest from private banks.
100% of income tax pays debt interest.

So true, If you have money you can buy so called justice. If you are poor you are screwed.

Lawyers and principles don't belong in the same sentence.
Of course justice is for sell....duh. It seems the only people who came to grips with this harsh fact of reality are the poor.
