@MzPlaneta What's worse is that men's underwear of the era was made out of whalebone and tinplate which explains my great-grandpappy's crazed expression ;)
Loved the scratchy old-time music and sepia tone!. Maybe you could uncover even earlier footage of a Kinetic Kaveman toppling prehistoric tree trunk dominoes or futuristic footage of what the KK will be doing in 100 years.
Jolly good film, I do say. Quite, indeed! And golly gee, how the footage has been extraordinarily preserved!
I did in fact not count the sticks, but I DID go to great lengths to find out what exactly was written there at the very end, hehe. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this extremely fun piece! :)
@TheMarchStudios Glad you enjoyed it, TMS! Not bad for a 97-year old nitrate print at that--and more unusual, they filmed it in 16:9 as well ;) BTW, wit the end subliminal, I wonder how many people realize that in the early days of telephony, the first two digits of a number corresponded to first two letters of the telephone exchange name like PEnnsylvania 6-5000 or KLondike 5-5555 :)
@lunatim Yes, the 16:9 aspect ratio is quite a rarity for those days. I suppose what happened is it didn't gain too well the public's appeal, and so was canned. Just a victim of being before it's time... pity.
Not only that intriguing piece about old telephone numbers... but I myself wonder how many people will catch that Mabel Normand was an actress back before talkies hit the screens. :) Again, this is such a delightful "old film". Thanks for "unearthing" it so we all could watch! :)
@claytorpedo Thanks, ct! Just took me a couple of hours to throw together--er, I mean, to dig this archival footage out of the film vault at the Nerdotronic Laboratories :)
Oops fat fingers tiny keys. I was saying, why don't you have a network show. Haven't watched broadcast television in about 5 years, but I tell you they launch Lunatic Tonight I
@123qwerty The secret is eating healthy foods, exercising daily, and bathing in the blood of sacrificial virgins every week. Luckily, there's plenty of them in Minnesota ;)
