I did in fact not count the sticks, but I DID go to great lengths to find out what exactly was written there at the very end, hehe. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this extremely fun piece! :)

Not bad for a 97-year old nitrate print at that--and more unusual, they filmed it in 16:9 as well ;) BTW, wit the end subliminal, I wonder how many people realize that in the early days of telephony, the first two digits of a number corresponded to first two letters of the telephone exchange name like PEnnsylvania 6-5000 or KLondike 5-5555 :)

@lunatim Yes, the 16:9 aspect ratio is quite a rarity for those days. I suppose what happened is it didn't gain too well the public's appeal, and so was canned. Just a victim of being before it's time... pity.

Not only that intriguing piece about old telephone numbers... but I myself wonder how many people will catch that Mabel Normand was an actress back before talkies hit the screens. :) Again, this is such a delightful "old film". Thanks for "unearthing" it so we all could watch! :)
